Abstract
ABSTRACT The aim of this research is to identify the forms of IndonesianEnglish code mixing used by Sashfir, Dinda Soemakno, and Dillah Probokusumo in their TikTok contents. This research uses Muysken’s theory (2000), which classifies code mixing into insertion of word, insertion of phrase, insertion of hybrid, insertion of word reduplication, insertion of idiom, and insertion of clause. Code mixing is a sociolinguistic phenomenon that commonly appears in bilingual communication, especially in social media interactions. This research uses a descriptive qualitative method. The data were obtained from TikTok videos uploaded by the three influencers during February. The total number of videos collected was 56 videos, but this research selected 24 videos that contain code mixing. The findings show that insertion of word became the most dominant form of code mixing, followed by insertion of phrase, insertion of hybrid, insertion of idiom, and insertion of clause. Meanwhile, insertion of word reduplication was not found in the data. The findings indicate that code mixing was used to create modern, attractive, and relatable communication styles on TikTok. Keywords: Code Mixing, Indonesian-English Code Mixing, Sociolinguistics, Tiktok Influencers
