Abstract
ABSTRACT Indonesia's trade balance fluctuates from year to year, influenced by various macroeconomic factors such as inflation, foreign direct investment (FDI), and real Gross Domestic Product (GDP). Changes in prices, investment flows, and national production capacity often result in trade surpluses or deficits. Global conditions such as the pandemic, fluctuating commodity prices, and global economic uncertainty exacerbate these dynamics. From an Islamic economic perspective, trade stability must be achieved through the principles of justice, balance, and the benefit of all. This study uses a quantitative approach with secondary data from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS), Bank Indonesia, the Ministry of Investment, and the Ministry of Trade of the Republic of Indonesia for the 2015-2024 period. The analysis was conducted using multiple linear regression to examine the effects of inflation, FDI, and real GDP on the trade balance. The testing also included classical assumptions such as normality, multicollinearity, heteroscedasticity, and autocorrelation to ensure the model meets statistical requirements.. The results of the study indicate that inflation and real GDP partially have no significant effect on the trade balance, while FDI has a significant positive effect. However, simultaneously, these three variables do not significantly influence Indonesia's trade balance. This indicates that when tested together, inflation, FDI, and real GDP are unable to significantly explai variations in the trade balance. These findings suggest that external factors and the structure economy have a greater influence on Indonesia's trade stability.. Keywords: Trade Balance, Inflation, Foreign Direct Investment, Real Gross Domestic Product.
