Abstract
As the pioneer of Islamic banking in Indonesia, Bank Muamalat faced challenges due to inflation, changes in the benchmark interest rate set by Bank Indonesia, and fluctuations in the rupiah exchange rate, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic and the economic recovery period. Therefore, this study aims to analyze the effect of inflation, Bank Indonesia interest rate, exchange rate, Third-Party Funds, and total assets on financing at Bank Muamalat Indonesia from March 2017 to December 2024. This research uses a quantitative approach with secondary quarterly time-series data from March 2017 to December 2024. The data were obtained from the financial reports of Bank Muamalat Indonesia and official publications of Bank Indonesia. The analysis method applied is multiple linear regression using EViews software. Hypothesis testing includes the t-test, F-test, and coefficient of determination (R²). Classical assumption tests were also conducted to ensure the validity of the regression model. The results show that partially, the Bank Indonesia interest rate have a positive and significant effect on financing. Meanwhile, total assets and the exchange rate have a negative and significant effect on financing, while inflation and Third-Party Funds has no significant effect. Simultaneously, all independent variables significantly affect financing, with an R² value of 63%, indicating that 63% of financing variation is explained by the model, while the remaining 37% is influenced by other factors.
