Abstract

ABSTRAK Kampanye pemilu adalah serangkaian aktivitas yang dilakukan oleh kandidat atau partai politik untuk memperoleh dukungan pemilih menjelang pemilihan umum. Aktivitas ini mencakup berbagai metode komunikasi, promosi, dan mobilisasi massa untuk menyampaikan visi, misi, dan program kepada masyarakat. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meninjau peraturan adat Suku Baduy Luar terkait larangan kampanye yang diatur dalam Undang-Undang No. 7 Tahun 2017 tentang Pemilu. Suku Baduy, dengan prinsip-prinsip adat yang kuat, memiliki aturan dan norma yang mengatur interaksi mereka dengan dunia luar, termasuk dalam konteks politik. Studi ini dilakukan di Desa Kanekes, Kecamatan Leuwidamar, Kabupaten Lebak. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah penelitian lapangan yan bersifat penelitian deskriptif kualitatif.Sumber data dalam penelitian ini yaitu data primer yang diperoleh menggunakan teknik purposive sampling yaitu dengan pertimbangan tertentu, dan data sekunder yang berupa beberapa karya ilmiah, dan dokumen-dokumen dari Desa Kenakes, kecamatan Leuwidamar. Teknik pengumpulan data penelitian ini dengan melakukan observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa masyarakat Baduy Luar memegang teguh prinsip kesederhanaan dan keengganan terhadap politik modern, yang tercermin dalam penolakan terhadap praktik kampanye. Mereka meyakini bahwa keterlibatan dalam politik dapat mengganggu keharmonisan dan nilai-nilai adat yang telah diwariskan. Selain itu, larangan tersebut berfungsi sebagai mekanisme perlindungan identitas budaya dan sosial mereka dari pengaruh luar. Kesimpulan penelitian ini menyoroti pentingnya memahami konteks budaya dalam implementasi undang-undang. Kata Kunci : Peraturan Adat Suku Baduy,Larangan Kampanye. ABSTRACT An election campaign is a series of activities carried out by candidates or political parties to gain voter support ahead of the general election. This activity includes various methods of communication, promotion and mass mobilization to convey the vision, mission and programs to the community. This research aims to review the customary regulations of the Outer Baduy Tribe regarding campaign prohibitions as regulated in Law no. 7 of 2017 concerning Elections. The Baduy tribe, with strong traditional principles, has rules and norms that regulate their interactions with the outside world, including in the political context. This study was conducted in Kanekes Village, Leuwidamar District, Lebak Regency. which is descriptive qualitative research. The data sources in this research are primary data obtained using purposive sampling techniques, namely with certain considerations, and secondary data in the form of several scientific works and documents from the village. Public Health Service, Leuwidamar sub-district. The data collection technique for this research is by observing, interviewing and documenting. The research results show that the Outer Baduy community adheres to the principles of simplicity and is reluctant to accept modern politics, which is reflected in their rejection of campaign practices. They believe that involvement in politics can disrupt harmony and traditional values that have been inherited. In addition, the prohibition functions as a mechanism to protect their cultural and social identity from external influences. The conclusions of this research highlight the importance of understanding the cultural context in the implementation of the law, as well as the need for dialogue between the government and indigenous communities to reach mutually beneficial agreements.
