Abstract

Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh etos kerja terhadap kompetensi profesional guru di SMA Negeri 1 Bandar Lampung. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan jenis penelitian asosiatif serta metode survei melalui penyebaran kuesioner berbasis skala Likert. Populasi penelitian berjumlah 61 guru, dengan teknik sampling total sehingga seluruh populasi dijadikan sebagai sampel. Instrumen penelitian terdiri dari 45 item pernyataan yang telah memenuhi kriteria validitas dan reliabilitas. Analisis data dilakukan melalui tahapan analisis deskriptif, uji prasyarat (normalitas dan linearitas), serta analisis regresi linier sederhana dengan bantuan perangkat lunak statistik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa etos kerja berpengaruh signifikan terhadap kompetensi profesional guru dengan nilai signifikansi 0,000 (p < 0,05). Selain itu, etos kerja memberikan kontribusi sebesar 58,5% terhadap variansi kompetensi profesional guru, sedangkan 41,5% sisanya dipengaruhi oleh faktor lain di luar penelitian. Dengan demikian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa etos kerja merupakan faktor penting dalam meningkatkan kompetensi profesional guru dalam pelaksanaan pembelajaran di sekolah. Abstrack This study aims to determine the effect of work ethic on the professional competence of teachers at SMA Negeri 1 Bandar Lampung. This research employs a quantitative approach with an associative research type. The method used is a survey method with data collection techniques through questionnaires using a Likert scale. The population in this study consists of all teachers at SMA Negeri 1 Bandar Lampung,2 totaling 61 individuals. The sampling technique uses total sampling, so the entire population is used as the research sample. The research instrument consists of 45 statement items that have been declared valid and reliable. Data analysis was carried out in stages, including descriptive analysis, prerequisite tests (normality and linearity tests), and simple linear regression analysis using statistical software. The results of the study indicate that work ethic has a significant effect on teachers' professional competence, with a significance value of 0.000 (p < 0.05), and contributes 58.5% to the variance in teachers' professional competence, while the remaining 41.5% is influenced by other factors outside the scope of this study. Based on these findings, it can be concluded that work ethic is an important factor in improving teachers' professional competence in carrying out teaching tasks in schools.
