Abstract
Kata Kunci : subjective well-being, problem focus coping, peer support. ABSTRACT The Relationship between Problem-Focused Coping and Peer Support with Subjective Well-Being among Migrant Final-Year University Students Autor: Muhammad Riyadi Migrant final-year students are vulnerable to psychological pressure due to academic demands, particularly during the process of completing their undergraduate thesis, which may affect their subjective well-being. This study aimed to examine the relationship between problem-focused coping and peer support and subjective well-being among migrant final-year students. The population of this study consisted of active students of UIN Raden Intan Lampung in semesters 8–12 who were completing their undergraduate thesis. The sample comprised 85 students aged 21–24 years, selected using purposive sampling techniques. The research instruments included the Subjective Well-Being Scale with 19 items (α = 0.885), the Problem-Focused Coping Scale with 16 items (α = 0.900), and the Peer Support Scale with 38 items (α = 0.858), all of which demonstrated good internal consistency. Data were analyzed using multiple regression analysis. The results indicated a significant relationship between problemfocused coping and peer support with subjective well-being among migrant final-year students, with a multiple correlation coefficient of R = 0.710 and a significance level of p < 0.001. The coefficient of determination (R²) was 0.473, indicating that 47.3% of the variance in subjective well-being could be explained by problem-focused coping and peer support, while the remaining 52.7% was influenced by other factors outside this study. Keywords: subjective well-being, problem-focused coping, peer support.
