Abstract

ABSTRAK Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh berkembangnya fungsi masjid yang tidak hanya sebagai tempat ibadah, tetapi juga sebagai pusat pemberdayaan ekonomi umat. Masjid Al-Firdaus merupakan salah satu masjid yang menjalankan program pemberdayaan ekonomi melalui Baitul Maal wa Tamwil (BMT) dan kegiatan Kemandirian Remaja Islam Masjid (RISMA). Program tersebut bertujuan meningkatkan kesejahteraan masyarakat, membangun kemandirian ekonomi jamaah, sesuai dengan nilai-nilai syariah. Namun, belum diketahui bagaimana dampak program pemberdayaan ekonomi tersebut terhadap kesejahteraan masyarakat berdasarkan dengan prinsip maqashid syariah yang meliputi menjaga agama (hifz ad-din), menjaga jiwa (hifz annafs), menjaga akal (hifz al-aql), menjaga keturunan (hifz an-nasl), dan menjaga harta (hifz al-maal). Dalam penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Jenis penelitian ini ini adalah penelitian lapangan (field research). Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Informan terdiri dari pengurus masjid, pengelola BMT, anggota RISMA, serta masyarakat atau jamaah yang terlibat dalam program pemberdayaan ekonomi. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis melalui tahapan reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan untuk mengetahui dampak program pemberdayaan ekonomi umat berbasis masjid dalam perspektif maqashid syariah. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa program pemberdayaan ekonomi umat di Masjid Al-Firdaus memberikan dampak positif terhadap masyarakat yaitu peningkatan ekonomi jamaah, bertambahnya modal usaha, berkembangnya usaha kecil, terpenuhi kebutuhan seharihari. Dampak negatif yaitu berupa keterbatasan modal usaha, kemampuan manajemen usaha yang masih rendah, kecemburuan sosial di antara jamaah. Dalam tinjauan maqashid syariah, program tersebut telah mencerminkan aspek menjaga agama, jiwa, akal, keturunan, dan harta, meskipun masih terdapat kendala seperti keterbatasan modal dan partisipasi masyarakat. ABSTRACT This study was motivated by the evolving role of mosques, which serve not only as places of worship but also as centers for the economic empowerment of the Muslim community. Masjid Al-Firdaus is one of the mosques implementing economic empowerment programs through Baitul Maal wa Tamwil (BMT) and the Islamic Youth Independence Program (RISMA). These programs aim to improve community welfare and foster the economic independence of the congregation, in accordance with Sharia principles. However, it remains unclear how these economic empowerment programs impact community welfare based on the principles of maqashid al-sharia, which include safeguarding religion (hifz ad-din), safeguarding life (hifz an-nafs), safeguarding intellect (hifz al-aql), safeguarding lineage (hifz an-nasl), and safeguarding wealth (hifz al-maal). This study employs a qualitative descriptive research method. This type of research is field research. Data collection techniques were conducted through observation, interviews, and documentation. Informants included mosque administrators, BMT managers, RISMA members, and community members or congregants involved in the economic empowerment program. The data obtained were analyzed through the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and concluding to determine the impact of mosque-based economic empowerment programs for the community from the perspective of maqashid syariah. The research findings indicate that the economic empowerment program for the congregation at Al-Firdaus Mosque has had a positive impact on the community, the growth of small businesses, and the fulfillment of daily needs. Negative impacts include limited business capital, low business management skills, and social jealousy among congregants. From the perspective of maqashid syariah, the program has reflected the aspects of safeguarding religion, life, intellect, lineage, and wealth, although there are still obstacles such as limited capital and community participation.
