Abstract

ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran Advokasi terhadap peningkatan pemahaman konsep peserta didik pada mata pelajaran Fikih materi Sedekah di kelas V MI Nurul Iman Lampung Timur. Latar belakang penelitian ini berawal dari rendahnya pemahaman konsep peserta didik, kurangnya minat belajar pada mata pelajaran Fikih, serta penggunaan model pembelajaran yang belum sesuai dengan karakteristik peserta didik. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan desain quasi experiment. Sampel penelitian terdiri dari dua kelas, yaitu kelas V A sebagai kelas eksperimen yang menggunakan model pembelajaran Advokasi dan kelas V B sebagai kelas kontrol yang menggunakan model pembelajaran Everyone Is A Teacher Here, masing-masing berjumlah 30 peserta didik. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui pretest dan posttest guna mengukur pemahaman konsep sebelum dan sesudah perlakuan. Hasil analisis data menggunakan uji-t menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh signifikan penerapan model pembelajaran Advokasi terhadap peningkatan pemahaman konsep peserta didik. Nilai pemahaman konsep pada kelas eksperimen mengalami peningkatan yang lebih tinggi dibandingkan kelas kontrol. Hal ini membuktikan bahwa model pembelajaran Advokasi efektif dalam mendorong peserta didik untuk berpikir kritis, mengemukakan pendapat, serta memahami konsep secara lebih mendalam melalui proses argumentasi dan pembelaan ide. Dengan demikian, model pembelajaran Advokasi dapat dijadikan alternatif pembelajaran yang mampu meningkatkan kualitas pemahaman konsep peserta didik pada mata pelajaran Fikih. ABSTRACT This study aims to determine the effect of the Advocacy learning model on improving students’ conceptual understanding in the subject of Fiqh, specifically on the topic of alms (sedekah), among fifth-grade students at MI Nurul Iman Lampung Timur. The background of this research derives from the low level of students’ conceptual understanding, their lack of interest in learning Fiqh, and the use of learning models that do not match students’ characteristics. This research employed a quantitative method with a quasiexperimental design. The sample consisted of two classes: class V A as the experimental group using the Advocacy learning model, and class V B as the control group using the Everyone Is A Teacher Here learning model, each comprising 30 students. Data were collected through pretests and posttests to measure conceptual understanding before and after the treatment. The results of the t-test analysis show that there is a significant effect of applying the Advocacy learning model on improving students’ conceptual understanding. The experimental class demonstrated a higher increase in conceptual understanding compared to the control class. These findings indicate that the Advocacy learning model is effective in encouraging students to think critically, express opinions, and develop deeper conceptual understanding through argumentation and idea defense processes. Therefore, the Advocacy learning model can serve as an alternative learning approach to enhance students’ conceptual understanding in Fiqh.
