Abstract

ABSTRAK PERSEPSI MASYARAKAT TERHADAP WACANA DAERAH OTONOM BARU KABUPATEN TULANG BAWANG TIMUR (Studi Desa Makartitama Kecamatan Gedung Aji Baru Kabupaten Tulang Bawang Provinsi Lampung) Oleh Dzikroh Qurota A’yun Penelitian ini mengkaji persepsi masyarakat dan proses tindak lanjut wacana pembentukan daerah otonom baru (DOB) di Kecamatan Gedung Aji Baru, Kabupaten Tulang Bawang. meningkatkan Pemekaran efektivitas wilayah pemerintahan percepatan pembangunan, khususnya pelayanan publik dan pemerataan. Meskipun pengumpulan data dan proposal telah dilakukan, sinergi, perencanaan keterlibatan aktif pelaksanaan matang, pemekaran memerlukan komunikasi terbuka, dan masyarakat agar dapat terwujud dan berdampak positif bagi kesejahteraan di Kecamatan Gedung Aji Baru. ABSTRACT PUBLIC PERCEPTION OF THE DISCOURSE ON THE NEW AUTONOMOUS REGION IN EAST TULANG BAWANG REGENCY (Study of Makartitama Village, Gedung Aji Baru District, Tulang Bawang Regency, Lampung Province) By Dzikroh Qurota A'yun This study examines public perception and the follow up process to the discourse on the formation of a new autonomous region (DOB) in Gedung Aji Baru District, Tulang Bawang Regency. The regional expansion aims to improve government effectiveness and accelerate development, particularly public services and equity. Qualitative methods with field research were used, involving interviews, observation, and documentation with sub-district heads, village officials, and community leaders. The results show that the majority of the community supports the new autonomous region due to its potential for improved public services and infrastructure development. However, some do not yet understand the objectives of the expansion due to a lack of government outreach. The follow-up process faces administrative, budgetary, and coordination constraints between the regional and central governments. Although data collection and proposals have been completed, the implementation of the expansion requires synergy, careful planning, open communication, and active community involvement to ensure its success and positive impact on the well-being of the Gedung Aji Baru District.
