Abstract

ABSTRAK Kepemimpinan demokratis adalah kepemimpinan yang aktif, dinamis, dan terarah. Kegiatan-kegiatan pengendalian dilaksanakan secara tertib dan tanggung jawab. Kinerja guru juga merupakan faktor yang menentukan berkualitas atau tidaknya sebuah lembaga sekolah. Dari penjelasan diatas penulis menulis rumusah masalah sebagai berikut: Apakah terdapat pengaruh gaya kepemimpinan demokratis kepala sekolah terhadap kinerja guru di SD Muhammadiyah 1 Bandar Lampung?. Tujuan yang ingin dicapai dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui apakah gaya kepemimpinan demokratis kepala sekolah berpengaruh signifikan terhadap kinerja guru di SD Muhammadiyah 1 Bandar Lampung. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian lapangan (field research) dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Adapun yang menjadi populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah kepala sekolah dan guru-guru sd Muhammadiyah 1 Bandar Lampung yang berjumlah 58 orang. Dalam penelitian ini penulis menggunakan sampel total. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dan pembahasan yang diperoleh olah penulis tentang pengaruh gaya kepemimpinan demokratis kepala sekolah terhadap kinerja guru di SD Muhammadiyah 1 Bandar Lampung, hal tersebut dapat dilihat nilai Fhitung 1,576, sedangkan Ftabel 2,62 dan diperoleh nilai signifikan 0,134 lebih besar dari pada 0,005, Adapun kriteria Ha diterima jika Fhitung<Ftabel , Ha dengan α = 0,005 dengan nilai 1,576 < 2,62. Maka untuk model regresi sederhana ini ini dapat diartikan bahwa Ha yang menyatakan terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan dari gaya kepemimpinan demokratis kepala sekolah terhadap kinerja guru di SD Muhammadiyah 1 Bandar Lampung diterima, konsekuensi Ho ditolak. Adapun besarnya pengaruh gaya kepemimpinan demokratis kepala sekolah terhadap kinerja guru di SD Muhammadiya 1 Bandar Lampung adalah sebesar 66,8% dan sisanya sebesar 33,2% disebabkan oleh faktor lain yang bukan menjadi focus pembahasan dalam penelitian ini. Teacher performance is also a factor that determines the quality of a school institution. Based on the explanation above, the author wrote the following research problem formulation: Is there an influence of the principal's democratic leadership style on teacher performance at Muhammadiyah 1 Elementary School, Bandar Lampung? The aim of this study is to determine whether the principal's democratic leadership style has a significant effect on teacher performance at Muhammadiyah 1 Elementary School, Bandar Lampung. This type of research is field research with a quantitative approach. The population in this study is the principal and teachers of Muhammadiyah 1 Elementary School, Bandar Lampung, totaling 58 people. In this study, the author used a total sample. Based on the results of research and discussion obtained by the author about the influence of the principal's democratic leadership style on teacher performance at SD Muhammadiyah 1 Bandar Lampung, it can be seen that the F count value is 1.576, while the F table is 2.62 and a significant value of 0.134 is obtained which is greater than 0.005. The Ha criteria are accepted if F count <F table, Ha with α = 0.005 with a value of 1.576 <2.62. So for this simple regression model, it can be interpreted that Ha which states that there is a significant influence of the principal's democratic leadership style on teacher performance at SD Muhammadiyah 1 Bandar Lampung is accepted, the consequence of Ho is rejected. The magnitude of the influence of the principal's democratic leadership style on teacher performance at SD Muhammadiyah 1 Bandar Lampung is 66.8% and the remaining 33.2% is caused by other factors that are not the focus of discussion in this study.
