Abstract

ABSTRAK Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya pemahaman konsep IPAS siswa kelas IV SD Negeri 3 Bumi Setia, terutama dalam mengungkapkan kembali konsep dengan bahasa sendiri, menyajikan informasi dalam bentuk visual seperti gambar atau tabel, serta menarik kesimpulan secara menyeluruh dari materi yang dipelajari. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penerapan model pembelajaran kontekstual dengan metode Course Review Horay berbantuan media Prezi terhadap pemahaman konsep IPAS siswa. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kuantitatif dengan jenis eksperimen semu (quasiexperimental design) dan desain pretest-posttest control group. Sampel terdiri atas dua kelas, yaitu kelas eksperimen yang menggunakan model kontekstual dengan metode Course Review Horay berbantuan Prezi dan kelas kontrol yang menggunakan pembelajaran konvensional berbantuan PowerPoint. Data diperoleh melalui tes uraian berdasarkan indikator pemahaman konsep menurut taksonomi Bloom meliputi penerjemahan, penafsiran, dan ekstrapolasi. Dianalisis menggunakan uji-t Independent Sample dengan bantuan SPSS versi 25. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan signifikan antara kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol dengan nilai signifikansi 0,000 < 0,05. Nilai rata-rata posttest kelas eksperimen yaitu 83, sedangkan kelas kontrol 65. Dengan demikian, penerapan model pembelajaran kontekstual dengan metode Course Review Horay berbantuan media Prezi berpengaruh signifikan dalam meningkatkan pemahaman konsep IPAS siswa kelas IV SD Negeri 3 Bumi Setia. ABSTRACT This research was motivated by the low conceptual understanding of IPAS among fourthgrade students at SD Negeri 3 Bumi Setia, particularly in restating concepts using their own words, presenting information in visual forms such as images or tables, and drawing comprehensive conclusions from the material learned. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of applying the contextual learning model with the Course Review Horay method assisted by Prezi media on students‟ conceptual understanding of IPAS. The study employed a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental design using a pretest-posttest control group design. The sample consisted of two classes: an experimental class that used the contextual learning model with the Course Review Horay method assisted by Prezi, and a control class that applied conventional learning assisted by PowerPoint. The data were collected using essay tests developed based on conceptual understanding indicators according to Bloom‟s taxonomy, which include translation, interpretation, and extrapolation. The data were analyzed using an Independent Sample t-test with the help of SPSS version 25. The results showed a significant difference between the experimental and control classes, with a significance value of 0.000 < 0.05. The average posttest score of the experimental class was 83, while that of the control class was 65. Thus, the implementation of the contextual learning model using the Course Review Horay method assisted by Prezi media had a significant effect on improving students‟ conceptual understanding of IPAS in grade IV at SD Negeri 3 Bumi Setia.
