Abstract

ABSTRACT The decision to invest is an important step in the management of an individual's finances that is not only influenced by rational factors such as investment knowledge, but also by psychological factors such as Fear of Missing Out (FOMO). Low capital market literacy and increasing investment trends due to social impulses often make investment decisions not based on careful analysis. This study aims to analyze the influence of Capital Market Literacy and FOMO on Investment Decisions in the Sharia Capital Market in the perspective of Islamic Business, with the object of research on the participants of the Sharia Capital Market School in Lampung Province. This study uses a quantitative approach with the type of associative research. The research population was all participants of the Sharia Capital Market School in Lampung Province, while the sample of 97 respondents was determined by the Lemeshow formula. Data collection was carried out through questionnaires, observations, and literature studies. Data analysis uses the Partial Least Square method (SmartPLS 4) which includes validity, reliability, and hypothesis tests to determine the partial and simultaneous influence between variables. The results of the study show that Capital Market Literacy has a positive and significant effect on Investment Decisions. Likewise with FOMO, which has a significant influence on investment decisions in the Islamic capital market. Simultaneously, both variables have a positive and significant effect on investment decisions. From the perspective of Islamic Business, investment decisions based on sharia science and ethics reflect the value of tawazun (balance) and maslahah (utility) in economic activities.
