Abstract

ABSTRAK Hubungan Kepercayaan Diri Dan Peer Attachment Dengan Kompetensi Sosial Pada Siswa SMKN X Bandar Lampung Oleh: FEBBY PUTRI LESTARI Kompetensi sosial merupakan kemampuan individu dalam berkomunikasi secara efektif serta menunjukkan perilaku positif dalam beradaptasi dengan lingkungan sosial. Rendahnya kompetensi sosial berpotensi menimbulkan berbagai permasalahan sosial, yang dipengaruhi oleh faktor internal dan eksternal, di antaranya kepercayaan diri dan peer attachment, karena keduanya berperan dalam membentuk kemampuan individu mengekspresikan diri, menjalin hubungan, dan berinteraksi secara adaptif. Tujuan yang ada pada penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengkaji hubungan antara kepercayaan diri dan peer attachment dengan kompetensi sosial pada siswa SMKN X Bandar Lampung. Penelitian ini melibatkan seluruh siswa kelas XI di SMKN X Bandar Lampung, yang berjumlah 620 orang sebagai populasi. Dari populasi tersebut, 113 siswa dipilih sebagai sampel menerapkan teknik purposive sampling. Metode pegumpulan data yang diterapkan pada penelitian ini terdiri dari skala kompetensi sosial dengan 16 aitem (α= 0,856), skala kepercayaan diri dengan 20 aitem (α= 0,890), serta skala peer attachment yang memiliki 24 aitem (α= 0,954). Dalam analisis data, metode regresi linear berganda dijalankan dengan bantuan program JASP versi 0.17.1.0. Hasil dari analisis mengungkapkan adanya hubungan signifikan antara kepercayaan diri dan peer attachment dengan kompetensi sosial, dibuktikan oleh nilai koefisien korelasi R= 0. 555, F= 24. 460, p< 0. 001, serta kontribusi efektif sebesar 30,8%. Secara terpisah, kepercayaan diri mengindikasikan hubungan positif yang signifikan dengan kompetensi sosial dengan kontribusi efektif 16,4%, sedangkan peer attachment pun menunjukkan hubungan positif yang signifikan dengan kontribusi efektif 14,4%. Low levels of social competence may lead to various social problems, which are influenced by both internal and external factors, including self-confidence and peer attachment, as both play an important role in shaping individuals’ ability to express themselves, build relationships, and interact adaptively. This study aims to examine the relationship between selfconfidence and peer attachment with social competence among students of SMKN X Bandar Lampung. This study involved all 620 students in grade XI at SMKN X Bandar Lampung as the population. From this population, 113 students were selected as samples using purposive sampling. The measurement tools used in this study consisted of a social competence scale with 16 items (α=0.856), a selfconfidence scale with 20 items (α=0.890), and a peer attachment scale with 24 items (α=0.954). In data analysis, multiple linear regression was performed using the JASP program version 0.17.1.0. The results of the analysis revealed a significant relationship between self-confidence and peer attachment with social competence, as evidenced by the correlation coefficient value of R= 0.555, F= 24.460, p< 0.001, and an effective contribution of 30.8%. Separately, selfconfidence indicated a significant positive relationship with social competence with an effective contribution of 16.4%, while peer attachment also showed a significant positive relationship with an effective contribution of 14.4%.
