Abstract

ABSTRAK Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya pemahaman konsep Ilmu Pengetahuan Alam dan Sosial (IPAS) peserta didik yang masih dipengaruhi oleh proses pembelajaran yang berpusat pada guru sehingga keterlibatan aktif dan proses kognitif siswa belum berkembang secara optimal. Kondisi ini menuntut penerapan strategi pembelajaran yang mampu mengaktifkan siswa secara sistematis dan bermakna. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis Pengaruh Strategi Pembelajaran Murder (Mood, Understand, Recall, Digest, Expand and Review) Berbantuan Media Wordwall Terhadap Pemahaman Konsep IPAS Kelas V SD Al-Azhar 1 Bandar Lampung. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain kuasi-eksperimen tipe pretest-posttest control group design. Populasi penelitian berjumlah 77 peserta didik, dengan sampel sebanyak 52 peserta didik yang terdiri atas kelas VB sebagai kelompok eksperimen dan kelas VC sebagai kelompok control. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui tes pemahaman konsep IPAS, sedangkan analisis data menggunakan uji t independen (independent sample t-test) untuk mengetahui perbedaan pemahaman konsep antara kedua kelompok. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan peningkatan pemahaman konsep yang signifikan pada kelas eksperimen dibandingkan dengan kelas kontrol. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data, diperoleh nilai rata-rata posttest kelas eksperimen sebesar 78,04 dan kelas kontrol sebesar 63,15. Hasil uji hipotesis menunjukkan nilai thitung > ttabel atau nilai Sig. (2-tailed) < 0,05, sehingga H0 ditolak dan Ha diterima. Temuan ini menegaskan bahwa strategi pembelajaran kognitif terstruktur yang didukung media interaktif efektif dalam meningkatkan pemahaman konsep sains secara signifikan. Kata Kunci : Strategi Murder, Wordwall, Pemahaman Konsep, IPAS. ii ABSTRACT This study is motivated by students‘ low conceptual understanding in the Natural and Social Sciences (IPAS), which is still largely influenced by teacher-centered learning practices. As a result, students‘ active engagement and cognitive processes have not developed optimally. This condition highlights the need to implement instructional strategies that systematically and meaningfully engage students in the learning process. The purpose of this study is to analyze the effect of the Murder learning strategy (Mood, Understand, Recall, Digest, Expand, and Review), supported by Wordwall media, on fifth-grade students' conceptual understanding of IPAS at SD Al Azhar 1 Bandar Lampung. This study employed a quantitative approach using a quasi experimental with pretest–posttest control group design. The research population consisted of 77 students, with a sample of 52 students divided into class VB as the experimental group and class VC as the control group. Data were collected using an IPAS conceptual understanding test, and an independent-samples t-test was conducted to examine differences in conceptual understanding between the two groups. The results indicate a significant improvement in conceptual understanding in the experimental group compared to the control group. Based on the data analysis, the mean posttest score of the experimental group was 78.04, while that of the control group was 63.15. The hypothesis testing results showed that tcount > ttable or Sig. (2-tailed) < 0.05; therefore, H₀ was rejected, and Hₐ was accepted. These findings confirm that a structured cognitive learning strategy supported by interactive media is effective in significantly improving students‘ conceptual understanding of science.
