Abstract

ABSTRAK Hubungan Parent Attachment dan Regulasi Emosi dengan Agresivitas pada Peserta Didik Sekolah Menengah Pertama Oleh: Diah Veni Herlinda Agresivitas pada peserta didik Sekolah Menengah Pertama (SMP) merupakan permasalahan yang perlu mendapat perhatian mengingat masa remaja ditandai dengan ketidakstabilan emosi dan kesulitan mengendalikan perilaku. Perubahan emosional, psikologis, serta pengaruh keluarga dan sosial dapat meningkatkan kecenderungan remaja untuk menampilkan agresivitas, baik secara verbal maupun fisik. Faktor yang dapat mempengaruhi agresivitas dalam penelitian ini adalah parent attachment dan regulasi emosi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara parent attachment dan regulasi emosi dengan agresivitas pada peserta didik sekolah menengah pertama. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan populasi peserta didik SMP X di Way Bungur. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan teknik purposive sampling dan diperoleh sebanyak 100 responden. Data dikumpulkan menggunakan tiga skala yaitu skala parent attachment sebanyak 21 aitem (α = 0,864), skala regulasi emosi sebanyak 17 aitem (α = 0,810) dan skala agresivitas sebanyak 25 aitem (α = 0,882). Teknik anaisis data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan analisis regresi berganda dengan bantuan software SPSS 25 for windows. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan nilai R= 0,787 dan R2 = 0,619 dengan signifikansi p= 0.000 (<0.05). Hal ini menunjukkan adanya hubungan yang signifikan antara parent attachment dan regulasi emosi dengan agresivitas pada peserta didik sekolah menengah pertama dengan sumbangan efektif sebesar 61,9%. Adapaun kontribusi masing-masing variabel sebesar 19,15% untuk parent attachment dan 42,67% untuk regulasi emosi artinya setiap satu persen peningkatan setiap variabel maka agresivitas juga akan meningkat. Dengan demikian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa parent attachment dan regulasi emosi memiliki keterkaitan yang signifikan dengan agresivitas pada peserta didik. ABSTRACT The Relationship between Parent Attachment and Emotion Regulation with Aggression among Junior High School Students Author: Diah Veni Herlinda Aggression among junior high school students is an important issue that requires attention, as adolescence is characterized by emotional instability and difficulties in controlling behavior. Emotional and psychological changes, as well as family and social influences, may increase adolescents’ tendency to display aggressive behavior, both verbally and physically. Factors that are assumed to be related to aggression in this study are parent attachment and emotion regulation. This study aimed to examine the relationship between parent attachment and emotion regulation with aggression among junior high school students. This research employed a quantitative approach with the population consisting of students from Junior High School X in Way Bungur. The sample was obtained using a purposive sampling technique, involving 100 respondents. Data were collected using three scales: the Parent Attachment Scale with 21 items (α = 0.864), the Emotion Regulation Scale with 17 items (α = 0.810), and the Aggression Scale with 25 items (α = 0.882). Data were analyzed using multiple regression analysis with the assistance of SPSS 25 for Windows. The results showed a correlation value of R = 0.787 and a coefficient of determination R² = 0.619, with a significance value of p = 0.000 (p < 0.05). These findings indicate a significant relationship between parent attachment and emotion regulation with aggression among junior high school students, with a total effective contribution of 61.9%. The contribution of each variable was 19.15% for parent attachment and 42.67% for emotion regulation. Therefore, it can be concluded that parent attachment and emotion regulation are significantly associated with aggression among junior high school students.
