Abstract

ABSTRAK Minat belajar merupakan faktor penting yang menentukan efektivitas proses pembelajaran, termasuk pada mata pelajaran Pendidikan Agama Islam (PAI) dan Budi Pekerti. Penelitian ini dilakukan di SMP Negeri 1 Waway Karya, dengan tujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran SAVI (Somatic, Auditory, Visualization, Intellectually) terhadap minat belajar peserta didik, khususnya pada indikator keterlibatan siswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain quasi experimental post-test only control group. Sampel terdiri dari dua kelas VII yang dipilih melalui simple random sampling, yaitu kelas eksperimen yang menerima pembelajaran dengan model SAVI dan kelas kontrol yang menggunakan metode pembelajaran teacher centered. Instrumen penelitian berupa angket non-tes yang mengukur keterlibatan siswa dalam pembelajaran. Hasil uji normalitas dan homogenitas menunjukkan bahwa data berdistribusi normal dan memiliki varians yang homogen. Uji Independent Samples t-test menghasilkan nilai Sig. (2-tailed) = 0,037 (< 0,05), yang menunjukkan adanya perbedaan signifikan antara kelompok eksperimen dan kontrol. Rata-rata minat belajar pada kelompok eksperimen adalah 75.4, sedangkan kelompok kontrol 68.1, dengan standar deviasi kelompok eksperimen 5.8 dan kelompok kontrol 7.2. Nilai Cohen’s d untuk ukuran efek adalah 0.548, yang menunjukkan efek sedang. Temuan ini membuktikan bahwa model pembelajaran SAVI memiliki pengaruh signifikan dan efektif dalam meningkatkan minat belajar siswa. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini menegaskan bahwa penerapan model SAVI layak diterapkan dalam pembelajaran PAI dan Budi Pekerti untuk mendorong keterlibatan dan antusiasme siswa. This research was conducted at SMP Negeri 1 Waway Karya to determine the effect of the SAVI (Somatic, Auditory, Visualization, Intellectual) learning model on students' learning interest, particularly on indicators of student engagement. This study used a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental post-test only control group design. The sample consisted of two seventh-grade classes selected through simple random sampling: the experimental class using the SAVI learning model and the control class using teacher-centered learning methods. The research instrument was a non-test questionnaire that measured student engagement in learning. The results of normality and homogeneity tests indicated that the data were normally distributed and had homogeneous variance. The Independent Samples t-test yielded a Sig. (2-tailed) value of 0.037 (<0.05), indicating a significant difference between the experimental and control groups. The average learning interest in the experimental group was 75.4, while the control group was 68.1, with a standard deviation of 5.8 for the experimental group and 7.2 for the control group. Cohen's d value for the effect size was 0.548, indicating a moderate effect. These findings prove that the SAVI learning model has a significant and effective influence in increasing students' learning interest. Therefore, this study confirms that the application of the SAVI model is feasible in Islamic Religious Education and Character Education learning to encourage student engagement and enthusiasm.
