Abstract

ABSTRAK Komunikasi interpersonal adalah proses interaksi langsung antara komunikator dan komunikan melalui pertukaran pesan yang bertujuan menumbuhkan pemahaman bersama. Dalam konteks rehabilitasi narkoba, komunikasi interpersonal antara konselor dan pasien memegang peranan yang sangat penting. Proses rehabilitasi tidak hanya berfokus pada pemulihan fisik, tetapi juga mencakup aspek psikologis, emosional, dan sosial yang berperan dalam membentuk motivasi sehat pasien. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui indikator efektifitas komunikasi interpersonal konselor dalam membangun motivasi sehat pasien rehabilitasi di Wisma Ataraxis Jati Agung Lampung Selatan Metode penelitian ini menggunakan jenis penelitian lapangan (field research) dengan sifat penelitian deskriptif dan pendekatan kualitatif. Adapun sumber data primer penelitian menggunakan teknik purposive sampling sehingga didapat 5 informan yang terdiri dari 1 direktur yayasan, 2 konselor, dan 3 pasien rehabilitasi. Sumber data sekunder diperoleh dari buku, jurnal, karya ilmiah, laporan tahunan yayasan, dan sumber lainnya. Teknik pengumpulan data melalui metode wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Kemudian Teknik analisis data dari penelitian ini menggunakan model Miles & Huberman yaitu reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan atau verifikasi. Teori dalam penelitian ini menggunakan teori komunikasi interpersonal dan membangun motivasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa efektivitas komunikasi interpersonal di Wisma Ataraxis terwujud melalui lima indikator utama. Proses komunikasi dibangun melalui interaksi dua arah yang mengedepankan pendekatan kekeluargaan antara konselor dan pasien. (1) Keterbukaan, tercipta melalui jaminan kerahasiaan dan metode Bina Saling Percaya (BINATRAS) dalam forum morning group yang mendorong pasien berani mengungkapkan kendala pemulihannya; (2) Empati, ditunjukkan dengan memahami kondisi emosional pasien dan memfasilitasi komunikasi dengan keluarga; (3) Dukungan, diberikan melalui Catatan Perkembangan Pasien (CPT) dan konseling keluarga guna memperkuat kondisi mental selama masa rehabilitasi; (4) Sikap positif, berupa pendampingan tanpa menghakimi dan pemberian solusi bersama saat mengapresiasi setiap kemajuan kecil yang dicapai pasien; serta (5) Kesetaraan, yang tampak dari interaksi tanpa diskriminasi dalam aktivitas sehari-hari. Komunikasi interpersonal konselor berperan penting dalam keberhasilan rehabilitasi dengan menciptakan rasa aman, nyaman, dan saling percaya, sehingga pasien terdorong untuk terbuka, menerima arahan, dan termotivasi kuat untuk menjalani pemulihan secara konsisten. ABSTRACT Interpersonal communication is a process of direct interaction between a communicator and a communicant through the exchange of messages aimed at creating mutual understanding. In the context of drug rehabilitation, interpersonal communication between counselors and patients plays an important role. The rehabilitation process does not only focus on physical recovery, but also includes psychological, emotional, and social aspects that contribute to the development of patients’ healthy motivation. This study aims to identify the indicators of the effectiveness of counselors’ interpersonal communication in building healthy motivation among rehabilitation patients at Wisma Ataraxis, Jati Agung, South Lampung. This research uses field research with a descriptive qualitative approach. Primary data were obtained through purposive sampling, involving five informants consisting of one foundation director, two counselors, and three rehabilitation patients. Secondary data were collected from books, journals, scientific papers, annual reports of the foundation, and other relevant sources. Data collection techniques included interviews, observation, and documentation. Data analysis was conducted using the Miles and Huberman model, which consists of data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing or verification. The theories used in this study are interpersonal communication theory and motivation-building theory. The results of this study indicate that the effectiveness of interpersonal communication at Wisma Ataraxis is reflected in five main indicators. The communication process is carried out through two-way interactions that emphasize a familial approach between counselors and patients. (1) Openness is created through confidentiality guarantees and the Mutual Trust Development Method (BINATRAS) in morning group activities, which encourage patients to express obstacles in their recovery process; (2) Empathy is shown by understanding patients’ emotional conditions and facilitating communication with their families; (3) Support is provided through Patient Progress Records (CPT) and family counseling to strengthen patients’ mental condition during rehabilitation; (4) A positive attitude is demonstrated through non-judgmental assistance and joint problem-solving while appreciating every small progress achieved by patients; and (5) Equality is reflected in non-discriminatory interactions in daily activities. Counselors’ interpersonal communication plays an important role in the success of the rehabilitation process by creating a sense of safety, comfort, and mutual trust, which encourages patients to be open, accept guidance, and maintain strong motivation to undergo recovery consistently.
