Abstract

ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis peran Dompet Dhuafa Cabang Lampung dalam menyalurkan dana zakat melalui program pemberdayaan ekonomi guna meningkatkan kesejahteraan masyarakat dhuafa. Metode yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi lapangan (field research) serta didukung data sekunder dari laporan lembaga dan literatur terkait. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Dompet Dhuafa Lampung telah melaksanakan berbagai program seperti DD Farm, Kantin Kontainer, Bedah Warung, dan Magotin yang berfokus pada peningkatan kemandirian mustahik. Program tersebut berdampak positif terhadap peningkatan pendapatan dan keterampilan usaha mustahik, namun belum dapat disimpulkan secara komprehensif mampu mewujudkan kesejahteraan mustahik, mengingat keterbatasan pengukuran indikator kesejahteraan multidimensi dalam penelitian ini. Kendati demikian, pelaksanaannya masih menghadapi kendala seperti keterbatasan SDM pendamping, dana operasional, serta tantangan dalam mencetak local leader yang kompeten. Selain itu, persaingan dengan lembaga amil zakat (LAZ) lain turut menjadi ancaman bagi keberlangsungan dan kepercayaan muzakki. Melalui konsep no exit program dan wheel entrepreneur, Dompet Dhuafa Lampung berhasil membentuk siklus pemberdayaan berkelanjutan yang menjadikan mustahik mandiri sebagai pembina bagi mustahik baru. Dengan demikian, zakat produktif berperan penting dalam mendorong kemandirian dan pembangunan ekonomi masyarakat secara berkelanjutan. ABSTRACT This study aims to analyze the role of Dompet Dhuafa Lampung Branch in distributing zakat funds through economic empowerment programs to improve the welfare of underprivileged communities. The research employs a descriptive qualitative method with a field research approach, supported by secondary data from institutional reports and relevant literature. The findings indicate that Dompet Dhuafa Lampung has implemented several programs, including DD Farm, Kantin Kontainer, Bedah Warung, and Magotin, which focus on strengthening the self-reliance of mustahik (zakat beneficiaries). These programs have a positive impact on increasing mustahik income and entrepreneurial skills; however, they cannot be comprehensively concluded to have fully achieved mustahik welfare, due to limitations in measuring multidimensional welfare indicators in this study. Nevertheless, the implementation of these programs faces challenges such as limited human resources for field facilitators, operational funding constraints, and difficulties in developing competent local leaders. In addition, competition with other zakat institutions (LAZ) poses a potential threat to program sustainability and donor trust. Through the implementation of the no-exit program and wheel entrepreneur concepts, Dompet Dhuafa Lampung has succeeded in creating a sustainable empowerment cycle in which economically independent mustahik serve as mentors for new beneficiaries. Thus, productive zakat plays an important role in promoting self-reliance and sustainable community economic development
