Abstract

ABSTRACT Inventory management is a crucial aspect in ensuring the smooth operation of business activities, particularly in retail enterprises. Toko XY has been relying on manual methods for recording incoming and outgoing goods, which often leads to problems such as stock discrepancies, delays in report generation, and potential recording errors. This study aims to design and develop a Web-Based Inventory Management Information System to assist Toko XY in managing its stock more effectively and efficiently. The system development method applied in this research is the Rapid Application Development (RAD) approach, which includes requirement planning, user design, construction, and implementation. The system was developed using PHP with the Laravel framework, MySQL as the database management system, and Bootstrap as the front-end framework to provide a responsive user interface. The results indicate that the system successfully provides key features such as product management, category, customers, suppliers, incoming and outgoing transactions, product bundling, stock reports, and expiration notifications. System testing through expert validation confirmed that all functionalities performed well without any critical errors. This system enables real-time, accurate, and structured inventory recording, monitoring, and reporting, thereby supporting the operational effectiveness and managerial decision-making of Toko XY.
