Abstract

ABSTRAK Minat belajar Pendidikan Agama Islam (PAI) merupakan aspek penting yang memengaruhi keterlibatan siswa dalam memahami dan mengamalkan nilai-nilai Islam, namun kenyataannya masih banyak siswa yang menunjukkan rendahnya minat, terutama pada indikator perasaan senang saat mengikuti pembelajaran. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji efektivitas model pembelajaran Synectics, Mind Maps, Cooperative Learning (SM2CL) terhadap minat belajar PAI peserta didik di SMP Negeri 31 Bandar Lampung. Model SM2CL dipilih karena mengintegrasikan strategi berpikir kreatif, pemetaan visual, dan kolaborasi kelompok yang secara teoritis diyakini mampu meningkatkan keterlibatan serta minat belajar siswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuasi eksperimen dengan desain Posttest-Only Control Group Design, melibatkan dua kelas yaitu kelas eksperimen yang diberi perlakuan SM2CL dan kelas kontrol yang menggunakan pembelajaran konvensional. Instrumen yang digunakan berupa angket minat belajar dengan 15 item yang telah diuji validitas dan reliabilitasnya. Analisis data dilakukan melalui uji prasyarat (normalitas dan homogenitas) serta uji hipotesis menggunakan Independent Sample t-Test. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan SM2CL tidak berpengaruh signifikan terhadap minat belajar PAI siswa, dengan nilai signifikansi uji t lebih besar dari 0,05. Temuan ini mengindikasikan bahwa faktor internal siswa seperti rendahnya motivasi intrinsik dan perasaan senang, serta faktor eksternal berupa keterbatasan sarana dan suasana kelas yang monoton turut memengaruhi hasil. Kesimpulannya, meskipun SM2CL memiliki potensi teoritis yang kuat, dalam konteks penelitian ini efektivitasnya belum terbukti sehingga diperlukan penelitian lanjutan dengan desain yang lebih mendalam dan dukungan kontekstual yang lebih memadai. Kata kunci: SM2CL, minat belajar, Pendidikan Agama Islam, Pembelajaran Kooperatif ii ABSTRACT Interest in learning Islamic Religious Education (IRE) is a crucial aspect that influences students’ engagement in understanding and practicing Islamic values. However, in reality, many students still demonstrate low levels of learning interest, particularly with regard to the indicator of enjoyment during the learning process. This study aims to examine the effectiveness of the Synectics, Mind Maps, and Cooperative Learning (SM2CL) instructional model on students’ interest in learning IRE at SMP Negeri 31 Bandar Lampung. The SM2CL model was selected because it integrates creative thinking strategies, visual mapping, and collaborative learning, which are theoretically believed to enhance student engagement and learning interest. This research employed a quasi-experimental method with a Posttest-Only Control Group Design, involving two classes: an experimental class that received the SM2CL treatment and a control class that was taught using conventional instructional methods. The research instrument consisted of a learning interest questionnaire comprising 15 items that had been tested for validity and reliability. Data analysis was conducted through prerequisite tests (normality and homogeneity) and hypothesis testing using an Independent Samples t test. The findings indicate that the implementation of the SM2CL model did not have a significant effect on students’ interest in learning IRE, as the t-test significance value was greater than 0.05. These results suggest that internal factors, such as low intrinsic motivation and lack of enjoyment, as well as external factors, including limited learning facilities and a monotonous classroom atmosphere, contributed to the outcomes. In conclusion, although the SM2CL model has strong theoretical potential, its effectiveness was not empirically supported within the context of this study, indicating the need for further research employing more rigorous designs and stronger contextual support.
