Abstract
ABSTRACT According to the financial report, the DER value fluctuated annually between 2018 and 2024. Therefore, an appropriate strategy is needed to stabilize the DER value, by reducing debt, increasing equity, or increasing revenue and profits to repay debt. One factor that can influence the Debt to Equity Ratio (DER) is mudharabah investment and Bank Indonesia Sharia Certificates (SBIS). Mudharabah investments do not directly affect the DER, but if mudharabah investments managed by Islamic banks generate high profits, they will have more internal funds in the form of retained earnings. This can increase the equity portion without increasing debt, thus lowering the DER ratio. The availability and high returns of SBIS attract Islamic banks to channel their excess funds into this instrument, which is a form of Islamic bank investment. When Islamic banks invest excess funds in SBIS, these funds become the bank's equity. An increase in Islamic bank equity will increase the denominator (equity) in the DER ratio, resulting in a decrease in the overall DER. The objective of this research is to analyze the influence of Mudharabah Investment and Bank Indonesia Sharia Certificates (SBIS) on the Debt to Equity Ratio (DER) for the 2018-2024 period at Islamic Commercial Banks. This research method uses a quantitative approach with an associative research type. Purposive sampling was used, with four Islamic commercial banks for the 2018-2024 period. Financial statements were used as data collection techniques. Data analysis methods used descriptive statistics, panel data regression model selection, classical assumption testing, panel data regression analysis, and hypothesis testing using the Eviwes 13 program. The results of this study indicate that the t-test for the Mudharabah Investment and Bank Indonesia Sharia Certificates (SBIS) variables does not significantly influence the Debt-to-Equity Ratio (DER).
