Abstract

Secara simultan, keduanya berpengaruh meskipun kemampuan model hanya menjelaskan Return On Asset (ROA) sebesar 16,11%. ABSTRACT With the increasing competition between Islamic banks and conventional banks, Islamic banks are required to maintain strong performance to compete in the Indonesian national banking market. This rapid growth has also coincided with the increasing profitability of Indonesian Islamic banks. However, a number of Islamic banks in Indonesia have experienced declining profitability, although not all banks. This could be due to various internal and external factors, including the credit crunch and fundraising issues. This study aims to determine whether the credit crunch and third-party funds (TPF) affect the profitability of Islamic banks in Indonesia registered with the Financial Services Authority (OJK). This research is quantitative, using a purposive sampling method at Islamic commercial banks in Indonesia from 2020 to 2024, resulting in a sample size of six, resulting in a population of 13 Islamic commercial banks registered with the Financial Services Authority (OJK) over a five-year period, from 2020 to 2024. The analytical method used in this study is panel data analysis. The analysis tool used was Eviews 13. The results of the study indicate that Non-Performing Loans (NPF) has a negative and significant effect on ROA, while Third Party Funds (DPK) have no significant effect on ROA. Both are simultaneously influential, although the model's ability to explain Return on Assets (ROA) is only 16.11%.
