Abstract

ABSTRAK Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya pemahaman konsep matematika peserta didik kelas III di MIN 11 Bandar Lampung. Berdasarkan pra-penelitian ditemukan beberapa permasalahan seperti kurangnya minat dan motivasi belajar, adanya peserta didik yang mengalami diskalkulia, serta kurangnya konsentrasi saat proses pembelajaran berlangsung. Permasalahan tersebut muncul karena kurangnya penggunaan model pembelajaran yang interaktif dan kolaboratif sehingga siswa kurang aktif dalam memahami konsep dasar matematika. Rumusan masalah dalam penelitian ini adalah apakah model pembelajaran Make A Match berbantuan Flashcard berpengaruh terhadap kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematika peserta didik kelas III. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan model Make A Match berbantuan Flashcard terhadap pemahaman konsep matematika peserta didik. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain Quasi Experimental Design tipe Nonequivalent Control Group Design. Populasi penelitian adalah seluruh peserta didik kelas III MIN 11 Bandar Lampung, dengan sampel kelas III A sebagai kelas kontrol dan kelas III B sebagai kelas eksperimen yang masing-masing berjumlah 30 peserta didik. Instrumen penelitian berupa tes pilihan ganda yang diberikan melalui pretest dan posttest. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan signifikan antara kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematika peserta didik pada kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol. Berdasarkan hasil uji-t diperoleh nilai signifikansi 0,001 < 0,05, sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa model pembelajaran Make A Match berbantuan Flashcard berpengaruh signifikan terhadap kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematika peserta didik kelas III di MIN 11 Bandar Lampung. Dengan demikian, penggunaan model Make A Match berbantuan Flashcard efektif dalam meningkatkan pemahaman konsep matematika peserta didik. Kata Kunci: Make A Match, Flashcard, Pemahaman Konsep, Matematika. iii ABSTRACT This study is motivated by the low level of conceptual understanding in mathematics among third-grade students at MIN 11 Bandar Lampung. Preliminary research revealed several learning issues, including low interest and motivation, the presence of students with dyscalculia, and limited concentration during the learning process. These problems arise due to the lack of interactive and collaborative learning models, resulting in students being less active in understanding basic mathematical concepts. The research question in this study examines whether the Make A Match learning model assisted by Flashcards influences students’ mathematical conceptual understanding. The purpose of this research is to determine the effect of using the Make A Match model assisted by Flashcards on students’ conceptual understanding of mathematics. This research employs a quantitative approach using a Quasi-Experimental Design with the Nonequivalent Control Group Design type. The population includes all third-grade students at MIN 11 Bandar Lampung, with class III A as the control group and class III B as the experimental group, each consisting of 30 students. The research instrument was a multiple choice test administered through pretests and posttests. The results indicate a significant difference in the mathematical conceptual understanding between students in the experimental and control groups. Based on the t-test results, a significance value of 0.001 < 0.05 was obtained, indicating that the Make A Match learning model assisted by Flashcards has a significant effect on the mathematical conceptual understanding of third-grade students at MIN 11 Bandar Lampung. Thus, the Make A Match model assisted by Flashcards is effective in improving students’ conceptual understanding of mathematics.
