Abstract

Abstract This study analyzes the influence of lifestyle and fashion trends on the purchasing decisions of imitation shoe products from an Islamic business perspective among students at the Faculty of Islamic Economics and Business, UIN Raden Intan Lampung. Using a quantitative approach with explanatory research design, this study surveyed 350 active students through stratified random sampling. Data were collected using structured questionnaires and analyzed using multiple regression analysis with SPSS version 25. The results reveal that fashion trends have a dominant influence with a coefficient of 0.518, while lifestyle contributes with a coefficient of 0.426. Simultaneously, both variables explain 74.3% of the variation in imitation product purchasing decisions (R² = 0.743, F = 502.134, p < 0.001). From an Islamic business perspective, the study identifies significant cognitive dissonance where 89.7% of respondents understand halal-haram concepts, but only 45.7% consistently implement them in practice. Key driving factors include economic constraints (84.9%) and social pressure (71.4%). The findings indicate a gap between theoretical understanding and practical application of Islamic economic principles, suggesting the need for more practical Islamic economic education approaches and development of a Sharia-compliant fashion business ecosystem. This research contributes to understanding Muslim consumer behavior in the digital era and provides strategic implications for developing ethical consumption patterns aligned with Islamic values.
