Abstract

Abstrak Penelitian ini mengkaji penafsiran ayat-ayat al-Qur’an tentang zuhud sebagaimana dipaparkan oleh al-Alusi dalam Tafsir Ruh al-Ma‘ani, serta relevansinya dengan kehidupan masyarakat pada era Society 5.0. Latar belakang penelitian ini berangkat dari tantangan spiritual di era modern, ketika kehidupan manusia semakin dikuasai oleh integrasi teknologi canggih seperti kecerdasan buatan, big data, dan internet. Meskipun kemajuan tersebut menghadirkan kemudahan dalam berbagai aspek kehidupan, namun juga memunculkan gaya hidup konsumtif, citra diri berlebihan di media sosial, serta ketergantungan terhadap teknologi digital. Dalam konteks ini, nilai-nilai zuhud menjadi penting sebagai pedoman keseimbangan antara kebutuhan duniawi dan orientasi ukhrawi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menjelaskan konsep zuhud menurut al-Alusi serta menguraikan relevansinya terhadap dinamika kehidupan manusia modern. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kualitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif-analitis berbasis studi kepustakaan (library research). Analisis dilakukan melalui pendekatan tafsir sufistik menggunakan metode tematik (tafsīr maudhū‘ī), yaitu menghimpun ayat-ayat bertema zuhud untuk ditelaah secara mendalam. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa menurut al-Alusi, zuhud tidak berarti meninggalkan dunia secara total, melainkan mengarahkan hati agar tidak terikat padanya. Dunia diposisikan sebagai sarana, bukan tujuan hidup. Kekayaan dan kenikmatan duniawi hendaknya dimanfaatkan untuk mendekatkan diri kepada Allah melalui amal kebajikan dan kemaslahatan sosial. Dalam konteks Society 5.0, nilai zuhud dapat diterapkan melalui pengendalian diri terhadap perilaku konsumtif, moderasi dalam penggunaan teknologi, serta etika bermedia yang berlandaskan kejujuran, tanggung jawab, dan kemanfaatan. Dengan demikian, konsep zuhud menurut al-Alusi bukan hanya idealisme spiritual, tetapi juga menjadi sistem etis yang relevan untuk membentuk karakter moderat dan berintegritas di tengah kemajuan teknologi modern. The background of this study stems from spiritual challenges in the modern era, when human life is increasingly dominated by the integration of advanced technologies such as artificial intelligence, big data, and the internet. Although these advances have brought convenience in various aspects of life, they have also given rise to a consumptive lifestyle, excessive self-image on social media, and dependence on digital technology. In this context, the values of zuhud are important as guidelines for balancing worldly needs and spiritual orientation. This study aims to explain the concept of zuhud according to al-Alusi and describe its relevance to the dynamics of modern human life. The research method used is qualitative with a descriptive-analytical approach based on library research. The analysis was conducted through a Sufi interpretive approach using a thematic method (tafsīr maudhū‘ī), which involves compiling verses on the theme of zuhud for in-depth study. The results of the study show that, according to al-Alusi, zuhud does not mean abandoning the world completely, but rather directing the heart so that it is not attached to it. The world is positioned as a means, not an end to life. Worldly wealth and pleasures should be used to bring us closer to God through good deeds and social welfare. In the context of Society 5.0, the value of zuhud can be applied through self-control over consumptive behavior, moderation in the use of technology, and media ethics based on honesty, responsibility, and usefulness. Thus, the concept of zuhud according to al-Alusi is not only spiritual idealism, but also an ethical system that is relevant for shaping a moderate and integrity-based character amid modern technological advances.
