Abstract

ABSTRAK Perpustakaan perguruan tinggi berperan penting dalam mendukung aktivitas akademik, namun sering kesulitan menarik minat mahasiswa. Salah satu faktor penentu minat kunjung adalah estetika tata ruang. Observasi di ruang referensi UIN Raden Intan Lampung menunjukkan bahwa tata ruang belum memenuhi standar, terutama dalam hal penataan, sirkulasi udara, dan pencahayaan, yang berdampak pada rendahnya minat kunjung mahasiswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh tata ruang layanan referensi perpustakaan UIN Raden Intan Lampung terhadap minat kunjung mahasiswa. Penelitian menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan sampel 392 mahasiswa aktif UIN Raden Intan Lampung Tahun Ajaran 2024 / 2025, dipilih melalui teknik purposive dan snowball sampling. Data dikumpulkan melalu observasi, wawancara, kuesioner, dan dokumentasi kemudian dianalisis dengan uji validitas, reliabilitas, serta analisis Structural Equation Modeling Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tata ruang layanan referensi perpustakaan UIN Raden Intan Lampung mempengaruhi minat kunjung mahasiswa. Hal ini ditunjukkan dari hasil analisis SEM-PLS yaitu tata ruang layanan referensi perpustakaan UIN Raden Intan Lampung terbukti memiliki pengaruh yang dihasilkan dari nilai t-statistic sebesar 15.121 terhadap minat kunjung mahasiswa UIN Raden Intan Lampung. Besaran pengaruh tata ruang layanan referensi perpustakaan terhadap minat kunjung mahasiswa dapat dilihat dari nilai f² sebesar 0.691. Kata Kunci : Layanan Referensi Perpustakaan, Minat Kunjung, SEM-PLS, Tata Ruang. iii ABSTRACT University libraries play a vital role in supporting academic activities, yet they often struggle to attract student interest. One of the determining factors for student interest is the aesthetics of the layout. Observations in the reference room of UIN Raden Intan Lampung indicate that the layout does not meet standards, particularly in terms of layout, air circulation, and lighting, which impacts student low interest. This study aims to determine the effect of the layout of the library's reference service at UIN Raden Intan Lampung on student interest. The study used a quantitative method with a sample of 392 active students at UIN Raden Intan Lampung in the 2024/2025 academic year, selected using purposive and snowball sampling techniques. Data were collected through observation, interviews, questionnaires, and documentation, then analyzed using validity and reliability tests, as well as Structural Equation Modeling Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS) analysis. The results of the study indicate that the layout of the UIN Raden Intan Lampung library reference service influences student visiting interest. This is shown from the results of the SEM-PLS analysis, namely the layout of the UIN Raden Intan Lampung library reference service is proven to have an influence resulting from a t-statistic value of 15.121 on the visiting interest of UIN Raden Intan Lampung students.
