Abstract
ABSTRACT The economic growth of a country is a crucial indicator that reflects the success of national development. To assess this economic progress, several common indicators are used, one of which is Gross Domestic Product (GDP). GDP itself can be influenced by several interconnected factors such as halal product exports, trade openness, exchange rates, and inflation rates, all of which are linked to economic growth. The research questions of this study are (1) do halal product exports have a short-term and long-term effect on Indonesia's Gross Domestic Product, (2) does trade openness have a short-term and longterm effect on Indonesia's Gross Domestic Product, (3) does the exchange rate have a short-term and long-term effect on Indonesia's Gross Domestic Product, (4) does the inflation rate have a short-term and long-term effect on Indonesia's Gross Domestic Product, (5) how do halal product exports, trade openness, the exchange rate, and the inflation rate collectively affect Indonesia's Gross Domestic Product. This research uses a quantitative approach with secondary data sources from the 2015-2024 observation period. The data analysis methods employ the Error Correction Model (ECM) and multiple linear regression analysis, with data processed using EViews 12 software. The results of this study are (1) halal product exports have no effect, either in the short term or long term, on Indonesia's Gross Domestic Product, (2) trade openness has a positive and significant effect, both in the short term and long term, on Indonesia's Gross Domestic Product, (3) the exchange rate has no effect, either in the short term or long term, on Indonesia's Gross Domestic Product, (4) the inflation rate has no effect, either in the short term or long term, on Indonesia's Gross Domestic Product, (5) collectively, halal product exports, trade openness, the exchange rate, and the inflation rate have a significant effect on Gross Domestic Product in the short run. However, in the long run, these variables together do not have a significant effect on Gross Domestic Product.
