Abstract

Keywords: Explicit instruction; Nearpod; Understanding of Mathematical Concepts This study aims to determine the effect of the explicit instruction learning model assisted by nearpod media on the understanding of mathematical concepts of fourth- grade students of MIN 2 South Lampung. The background of this study is based on the low understanding of mathematical concepts of students due to the use of less varied learning models and minimal use of interactive media. This study uses a quantitative method with a quasi-experimental design in the form of a Posttest-Only Control Group Design. The study population includes all fourth grade students, with a sample of 43 students divided into an experimental group and a control group through a simple random sampling technique. The research instrument is a descriptive test compiled based on five indicators of understanding mathematical concepts. Data analysis includes normality tests, homogeneity tests, and hypothesis tests using a significance level of 0.05 with the help of SPSS version 25. The results showed that the average posttest score of the experimental class (83.48) was higher than the control class (62.59). The independent t-test produced a significance value of 0.000<0.05, which indicates a significant difference between the two groups. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran explicit instruction berbantuan media nearpod terhadap pemahaman konsep matematika peserta didik kelas IV MIN 2 Lampung Selatan. Latar belakang penelitian ini didasarkan pada rendahnya pemahaman konsep matematika peserta didik akibat penggunaan model pembelajaran yang kurang bervariasi dan minimnya pemanfaatan media interaktif. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan desain quasi experiment berbentuk Posttest-Only Control Group Design. Populasi penelitian mencakup seluruh peserta didik kelas IV, dengan sampel sebanyak 43 peserta didik yang dibagi menjadi kelompok eksperimen dan kelompok kontrol melalui teknik simple random sampling. Instrumen penelitian berupa tes uraian yang disusun berdasarkan lima indikator pemahaman konsep matematika. Analisis data meliputi uji normalitas, homogenitas, dan uji hipotesis menggunakan taraf signifikansi 0,05 dengan bantuan SPSS versi 25. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata nilai posttest kelas eksperimen (83,48) lebih tinggi dibandingkan kelas kontrol (62,59). Uji t independen menghasilkan nilai signifikansi 0,000 < 0,05, yang menunjukkan adanya perbedaan signifikan antara kedua kelompok. Dengan demikian, model explicit instruction berbantuan nearpod berpengaruh positif terhadap peningkatan pemahaman konsep matematika peserta didik dan mendukung proses pembelajaran yang lebih interaktif serta efektif.
