Abstract

ABSTRAK Rerorika dakwah sebagai seni komunikasi yang efektif dan persuasif, memiliki peran krusial dalam menyampaikan pesan- pesan keagamaan. Muhadharah sebagai salah satu metode dakwah di lingkungan pesantren, berperan penting dalam membentuk kemampuan berbicara santriwati di depan umum. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji penerapan retorika dakwah dalam kegiatan muhadharah di Pondok Pesantren Diniyyah Putri Lampung, yang mencangkup tiga aspek yaitu, penguasaan materi, penggunaan gaya dan bahasa, serta improvisasi. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian lapangan (feild reserch) dengan sifat peneliian deskriptif kuliatatif. Sumber data penelitian diperoleh dari dua orang mudabiroh (pembimbing) dan enam orang santriwati, sumber data skunder diperoleh dari arsip, catatan teks pidato, buku- buku referensi, dan hasil penelitian terdahulu yang relefan. Teknik pengumpulan data dengan observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data menggunakan model Maurice Marleau dan Jurgen Habermas, yakni reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Temuan penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan retorika dakwah dalam muhadharah di Pondok Pesantren Diniyyah Putri Lampung telah membentuk kemampuan santriwati secara efektif pada tiga aspek utama. Pertama, penguasaan materi tercermin dari penyusunan pidato dengan struktur jelas (pembuka, isi, penutup) yang didukung referensi valid seperti Al- Qur’an dan hadist, serta internalisasi logos Aristoteles melalui hafalan mendalam dan praktik berulang, meskipunmasih ada tantangan seperti kebingungan kalimat dan kosa kata asing. Kedua, penggunaan gaya dan bahasa melibatkan komunikasi yang mudah dipahami, kontak mata dengan audiens, serta penerapan ethos melalui sikap santun dan pathos via pengungkapan emosi, dengan etika bahasa yang menjaga nilai moral tanpa unsur SARA (Suku, Agama, Ras, dan Antargolongan), namun variasi intonasi dan ekspresi masih perlu pengembangan akibat rasa grogi. Ketiga, kemampuan improvisasi santriwati menonjol dalam adaptasi percaya diri terhadap situasi tak terduga, seperti lupa materi atau audiens tidak fokus, yang memperkuat kredibilitas dakwah dan membuat muhadharah lebih dinamis serta persuasif. Pendekatan ini meningkatkan kepercayaan diri dan keterampilan berbicara piblik santriwati dalam konteks dakwah Islam. Kata kunci: retorika dakwah, muhadharah, pondok pesantren ii ABSTRACT Rhetoric in preaching as an effective and persuasive art of communication, plays a crucial role in conveying religious messages. Muhadharah, as one of the methods of preaching in Islamic boarding schools, plays an important role in shaping the ability of female students to speak in public. This study aims to examine the application of da'wah rhetoric in muhadharah activities at the Diniyyah Putri Islamic Boarding School in Lampung, covering three aspects, namely mastery of material, use of style and language, and improvisation. This research is field research with a descriptive qualitative nature. The research data sources were obtained from two mudabiroh (mentors) and six female students, while secondary data sources were obtained from archives, speech notes, reference books, and relevant previous research results. Data collection techniques included observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis techniques used the models of Maurice Marleau and Jurgen Habermas, namely data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The findings of this study indicate that the application of da'wah rhetoric in lectures at the Diniyyah Putri Islamic Boarding School in Lampung has effectively developed the abilities of female students in three main aspects. First, mastery of the material is reflected in the composition of speeches with a clear structure (introduction, content, conclusion) supported by valid references such as the Qur'an and hadith, as well as the internalization of Aristotle's logos through deep memorization and repeated practice, although there are still challenges such as confusion over sentences and unfamiliar vocabulary. Second, the use of style and language involves easy-to�understand communication, eye contact with the audience, and the application of ethos through polite attitudes and pathos through emotional expression, with language ethics that maintain moral values without elements of SARA (ethnicity, religion, race, and intergroup relations). However, intonation and expression still need improvement due to nervousness. Third, the female students' improvisational skills are prominent in their confident adaptation to unexpected situations, such as forgetting material or the audience not focusing, which strengthens the credibility of the preaching and makes the muhadharah more dynamic and persuasive. This approach increases the female students' confidence and public speaking skills in the context of Islamic preaching. Keywords: preaching rhetoric, muhadharah, Islamic boarding school.
