Abstract

ABSTRAK Pertumbuhan jumlah investor pasar modal di Indonesia menunjukkan tren peningkatan signifikan, terutama dari kalangan generasi Z. Meski adaptif terhadap teknologi, generasi ini masih minim pengalaman investasi dan cenderung mengabaikan risiko. Selain itu, meningkatnya konsumsi konten flexing di media sosial turut memengaruhi cara pandang mereka terhadap kekayaan dan gaya hidup, yang dapat berdampak pada keputusan investasi. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis pengaruh pengalaman investasi, toleransi risiko (risk tolerance), dan menonton konten flexing terhadap keputusan investasi, dengan literasi keuangan sebagai variabel moderasi untuk melihat apakah pemahaman keuangan dapat memperkuat atau memperlemah hubungan antar variabel tersebut. Penelitian ini bersifat kuantitatif dengan data primer. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah kuesioner terstruktur untuk mengukur variabel secara sistematis. Kuesioner disebar kepada generasi Z yang berdomisili di Kota Bandar Lampung, dipilih karena tingginya partisipasi mereka dalam investasi dan relevansi dengan fenomena yang dikaji. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa pengalaman investasi berpengaruh positif namun tidak signifikan terhadap keputusan investasi. Sementara itu, risk tolerance dan konten flexing memiliki pengaruh positif dan signifikan. Literasi keuangan tidak memoderasi hubungan antara pengalaman investasi maupun risk tolerance dengan keputusan investasi, tetapi mampu memoderasi pengaruh menonton konten flexing terhadap keputusan investasi. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa pemahaman keuangan dapat menjadi pengendali dalam pengaruh sosial terhadap keputusan investasi, meskipun tidak selalu memperkuat semua hubungan antar variabel. ABSTRACT The growth of capital market investors in Indonesia shows a significant upward trend, particularly among Generation Z. Although this generation is known for being tech-savvy, they often lack investment experience and tend to overlook risks. Additionally, the increasing consumption of flexing content on social media influences their perception of wealth and lifestyle, potentially affecting their investment decisions. This study aims to analyze the influence of investment experience, risk tolerance, and exposure to flexing content on investment decisions, with financial literacy as a moderating variable to examine whether financial understanding can strengthen or weaken the relationships among these variables. This is a quantitative study using primary data. The research instrument is a structured questionnaire designed to systematically measure the variables. The questionnaire was distributed to Generation Z respondents residing in Bandar Lampung, selected due to their high participation in investment activities and the relevance to the phenomena being studied. The analysis results show that investment experience has a positive but insignificant effect on investment decisions. In contrast, risk tolerance and flexing content have a positive and significant effect. Financial literacy does not moderate the relationship between investment experience or risk tolerance and investment decisions, but it does moderate the influence of flexing content on investment decisions. These findings indicate that financial understanding can serve as a control factor in the social influence on investment decisions, although it does not always strengthen all variable relationships.
