Abstract

ABSTRAK Pengolahan bahan pustaka merupakan salah satu kegiatan di perpustakaan yang bertujuan untuk melakukan pengaturan bahan pustaka yang tersedia agar dapat disimpan di tempatnya menurut susunan tertentu serta mudah ditemukan dan digunakan oleh pengguna perpustakaan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui proses pengolahan bahan pustaka terotomasi untuk meningkatkan layanan di Perpustakaan SMAN 15 Bandar Lampung. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah ditemukan bahwa penelitian ini bersifat deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Adapun teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan melakukan observasi lapangan atau pengamatan, dan terstruktur terhadap 2 informan pengelola perpustakaan SMA Negeri 15 Bandar Lampung. Fokus permasalahan yang dikaji dalam penelitian ini berkaitan dengan pengolahan bahan pustaka di perpustakaan SMA Negeri 15 Bandar Lampung dengan subfokus pengolahan bahan pustaka terotomasi. Hasil dari analisis data menunjukkan bahwa proses pengolahan bahan pustaka di perpustakaan SMAN 15 Bandar Lampung sudah menerapkan sistem otomasi dengan menerapkan SLiMS dalam proses pengolahan bahan pustaka dimulai dari pengadaan, inventarisasi, dan pengolahan anggota. Selain itu dengan adanya sistem otomasi di perpustakaan SMAN 15 Bandar Lampung proses pengolahan bahan pustaka menjadi lebih cepat, akurat, dan dapat meningkatkan layanan di perpustakaan SMAN 15 Bandar Lampung Kata Kunci : Layanan Perpustakaan, Sistem Otomasi, Pengolahan Bahan Pustaka. ii ABSTRACT Processing library materials is one of the activities in the library which aims to organize available library materials so that they can be stored in a certain place and are easy to find and use by library users. This research aims to determine the automated processing of library materials to improve services at the SMAN 15 Bandar Lampung Library. The method used in this research was that it was found that this research was descriptive in nature with a qualitative approach. The data collection technique was carried out by conducting field observations or structured observations of 2 informants managing the library at SMA Negeri 15 Bandar Lampung. The focus of the problems studied in this research is related to the processing of library materials in the library of SMA Negeri 15 Bandar Lampung with a subfocus of automated processing of library materials. The results of data analysis show that the library material processing process in the SMAN 15 Bandar Lampung library has implemented an automation system by implementing SLiMS in the library material processing process starting from procurement, inventory and member processing. Apart from that, with the automation system in the SMAN 15 Bandar Lampung library, the processing of library materials becomes faster, more accurate, and can improve services at the SMAN 15 Bandar Lampung library.
