Abstract

ABSTRAK Website Program Studi (Prodi) Sistem Informasi UIN Raden Intan Lampung berfungsi sebagai media utama dalam penyampaian informasi akademik kepada mahasiswa dan masyarakat. Namun, hasil observasi awal menunjukkan adanya permasalahan pada aspek User Interface (UI) dan User Experience (UX), seperti tampilan yang kurang menarik serta tata letak yang tidak intuitif. Pengujian awal menggunakan metode System Usability Scale (SUS) menghasilkan skor rata-rata 54,44 (grade D), yang menunjukkan bahwa website masih memiliki tingkat usability rendah dan perlu dilakukan perbaikan signifikan. Penelitian ini bertujuan merancang ulang UI/UX website Prodi Sistem Informasi agar lebih sesuai dengan kebutuhan pengguna dengan menggunakan metode User Centered Design (UCD). Tahapan UCD yang diterapkan meliputi understand context of use, identifikasi kebutuhan menggunakan pendekatan Think Aloud, perancangan solusi dalam bentuk wireframe dan prototype, serta evaluasi akhir. Proses implementasi hasil desain dilakukan dengan memanfaatkan Content Management System (CMS) WordPress sehingga rancangan dapat diwujudkan menjadi bentuk nyata. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa rancang ulang menghasilkan prototype high-fidelity yang diuji kembali menggunakan metode SUS terhadap 102 responden. Pengujian ini memperlihatkan peningkatan skor signifikan dari 54,44 menjadi 79,90 (grade A – Excellent). Temuan tersebut membuktikan bahwa penerapan metode UCD mampu meningkatkan kualitas UI/UX website, menjadikannya lebih mudah digunakan, menarik secara visual, serta memberikan pengalaman pengguna yang lebih baik. ABSTRACT The website of the Information Systems Study Program at UIN Raden Intan Lampung serves as a primary medium for delivering academic information to students and the public. However, initial observations revealed several issues in terms of User Interface (UI) and User Experience (UX), such as an unattractive appearance and an unintuitive layout. The initial usability testing using the System Usability Scale (SUS) produced an average score of 54.44 (grade D), indicating that the website had a low level of usability and required significant improvements. This research aims to redesign the UI/UX of the Information Systems Study Program website to better meet user needs by applying the User Centered Design (UCD) method. The UCD stages implemented include understand context of use, identifying user needs using the Think Aloud approach, designing solutions in the form of wireframes and prototypes, and conducting final evaluations. The design results were implemented using the Content Management System (CMS) WordPress to ensure the redesigned concepts could be realized effectively. The results show that the redesign produced a high-fidelity prototype, which was re-evaluated using the SUS method with 102 respondents. The final testing demonstrated a significant improvement in the usability score, increasing from 54.44 to 79.90 (grade A – Excellent). These findings prove that the application of the UCD method successfully enhanced the website’s UI/UX quality, making it easier to use, visually more appealing, and capable of providing a better user experience.
