Abstract

ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bermula dari fenomena kemunculan agama baru pada akhir abad ke-19, pada masa pemerintahan Kesultanan Turki, tepatnya di daerah Iran. Agama ini dinamakan dengan Agama Baha’I atau bisa juga disebut dengan Keyakinan Baha’i. Agama yang meyakini tentang Keesaan ini telah menimbulkan banyak kontroversi pada sebagian masyarakat dari berbagai macam sudut pandang keagamaan yang secara umum menginginkan kesatuan umat manusia. Penelitian kualitatif ini menggunakan metode analisis deskriptif dan studi perpustakaan dari berbagai literatur-literatur yang berkaitan dengan konsep kenabian agama-agama yang ada secara umum juga dalam ajaran agama Baha’i secara khusus, mengambil sumber primer dari kitab-kitab suci Baha’i terutama dua kitab suci agama ini, yaitu Kitab Al-Aqdas dan juga Kitab Al Iqan, dan juga menelusuri berbagai sumber sejarah dari awal perkembangan agama Baha’i. Dari analisa itulah dirumuskan konsep kenabian yang terdapat dalam ajaran agama Baha’i. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa, Konsep kenabian dalam ajaran agama Baha’i dari sosok Baha’ullah yang dianggap sebagai nabi pembaharu dalam syariat-syariat agama sebelumnya. Umat Baha’i percaya bahwa semua agama yang ada di dunia ini bearasal dari satu sumber yang sama yaitu Tuhan Yang Maha Esa. Maka dalam pandangan mereka tidak ada satupun agama yang berdiri diatas dengan kebenaran tunggal dan menyalahkan ajaran agama yang lain, hal inilah yang menurut Baha’ullah menjadi akar konflik yang ada. Dengan pemikiran tersebut, dia berhasil mengambil hati masyarakat awam untuk menganut agama Baha’i ini dengan menyunting berbagai ayat-ayat pada kitab agama-agama terdahulu untuk disusun kembali dan mengambil klaim penerima wahyu baru. Baha’ullah mengambil peran untuk menjadi tauladan mereka dalam kehidupan internal umat Baha’i juga bertujuan untuk menyatukan semua agama di dunia ini dengan menyingkirkan faham ekslusivisme dalam lingkup eksternal. Ini tentu sangat berseberangan dengan konsep islam dalam ideologis walaupun dalam fungsi sosial tentu hampir sama dengan agama-agama yang lainnya. Kata Kunci : Konsep, Kenabian, Agama Baha’i. ABSTRACT This research begins with the phenomenon of the emergence of a new religion in the late 19th century, during the reign of the Turkish Sultanate, precisely in the region of Iran. This religion is called the Baha'i Religion or can also be called the Baha'i Faith. This religion, which believes in Oneness, has caused much controversy in some communities from various religious perspectives that generally want the unity of humanity. This qualitative research uses descriptive analysis methods and library studies from various literatures related to the concept of prophecy of existing religions in general and in the teachings of the Baha'i religion in particular, taking primary sources from the holy books of the Baha'i, especially the two holy books of this religion, namely the Book of Al-Aqdas and also the Book of Al Iqan, and also tracing various historical sources from the beginning of the development of the Baha'i religion. From this analysis, the concept of prophecy contained in the teachings of the Baha'i religion was formulated. This study concludes that, the concept of prophecy in the teachings of the Baha'i religion from the figure of Baha'ullah who is considered a prophet of reform in previous religious laws. Baha'i people believe that all religions in this world come from the same source, namely God Almighty. So in their view there is no single religion that stands on a single truth and blames the teachings of other religions, this is what according to Baha'ullah is the root of the existing conflict. With that idea, he succeeded in winning the hearts of the general public to embrace the Baha'i religion by editing various verses in the books of previous religions to be rearranged and taking the claim of receiving new revelations and taking the role of being their role model in the internal life of the Baha'i community also aims to unite all religions in this world by eliminating the ideology of exclusivism in the external scope. This is certainly very contrary to the concept of Islam in ideology, although in terms of social function it is certainly almost the same as other religions.
