Abstract

ABSTRACT In comprehending and elucidating the meaning of the Qur‟an, an exegete cannot entirely detach themselves from the accumulated knowledge and interpretive methodologies that have previously evolved. Consequently, new interpretations consistently represent a dialogue with and an elaboration of the existing corpus of tafsir, rather than being solely a product of independent thought. Based on this premise, this research investigates the correlation between Tafsir Al-Ibriz and Tafsir Al-Mubarak. The study addresses two primary research questions. First, what is the correlation between Tafsir Al-Ibriz by K.H Bisri Mustofa and Tafsir Al-Mubarak by K.H Taufiqul Hakim. Second, in which section in the Tafsir Al-Mubarak are influenced by Tafsir Al-Ibriz. This study employs a qualitative methodology and is categorized as library reseacrh by utilizing Karl Mannheim‟s sociology of knowledge theory, specially focusing on „behavior and meaning‟ as its analitycal framework. The findings indicate a significant correlation between Tafsir Al-Ibriz and Tafsir Al-Mubarak. A prominent aspect of this correlation is the use of Javanese language in both exegitical works. This reflect the exegetes strategy to adapt the material, making it relevant and accesible to local audiences residing in their respective regions. Furthermore, in depth observation reveals that several sections of Tafsir Mubarak exhibit a strong dominance from Tafsir Al-Ibriz.. Keywords: Correlation, Tafsir Al-Mubarak, Tafsir Al-Ibriz. ABSTRAK 2 Seorang mufasir dalam memahami dan menjelaskan makna Al Qur‟an, tidak dapat sepenuhnya melepaskan diri dari akumulasi pengetahuan dan metode penafsiran yang telah berkembang sebelumnya. Dengan demikian, interpretasi baru senantiasa merupakan dialog dan elaborasi dari korpus tafsir yang telah ada, bukan semata-mata produk pemikiran independen. Berdasarkan hal tersebut, maka penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat hubungan antara Tafsir Al-Ibriz dengan Tafsir Al-Mubarak. Terdapat dua rumusan masalah dalam penelitian ini. Pertama, bagaimana hubungan Tafsir Al Ibriz karya K.H Bisri Mustofa dengan Tafsir Al-Mubarak karya K.H Taufiqul Hakim. Kedua, pada bagian apa saja dalam Tafsir Al-Mubarak yang dipengaruhi oleh Tafsir Al-Ibriz. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dan termasuk ke dalam penelitian studi kepustakaan (library research) dengan pendekatan teori sosiologi pengetahuan Karl Mannheim (behavior and meaning). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya hubungan signifikan antara Tafsir Al-Ibriz dengan Tafsir Al Mubarak. Salah satu aspek yang menonjol adalah penggunaan bahasa Jawa dalam kedua karya tafsir tersebut. Ini merefleklsikan strategi para mufasir untuk mengadaptasi materi agar relevan dan mudah diakses oleh audiens lokal di wilayah mufasir tersebut berdomisili. Lebih lanjut, observasi mendalam menunjukkan bahwa terdapat beberapa bagian dalam tafsir Al Mubarak yang memiliki dominasi kuat dari Tafsir Al-Ibriz.
