Abstract
Abstract Global warming has become a global issue in recent years. This phenomenon can lead to a decline in environmental quality. Carbon dioxide emissions are one of the indicators that reflect the impact of economic activities on the environment due to their close relation to energy consumption and the use of fossil fuels. Indonesia is among the largest carbon emitters in the world. This study aims to analyze the influence of Energy Consumption, Foreign Direct Investment (FDI), Domestic Investment (DI), and Population on Carbon Dioxide Emissions in Indonesia from the perspective of Islamic Economics. The data used in this study are time series data from 2000 to 2023, sourced from the Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS), the World Bank, and Our World in Data. The analysis results show that in the short term, the variables of energy consumption, FDI, DI, and population do not have a significant effect on carbon dioxide emissions. However, in the long term, these variables have a positive and significant effect on carbon dioxide emissions in Indonesia. Keywords: Energy consumption, investment, population, carbon dioxide emissions.
