Abstract
No matter how high a person's independence is, at certain times he will need other people. As students who participate in UKM KSR-PMI, of course, they can foster a high attitude of helping each other towards the surrounding environment, but this can be a problem if there is a bystander effect within themselves that makes individuals hesitate to help and individuals have low affiliation needs. This study aims to determine whether there is a relationship between affiliation needs and perceptions of the bystander effect with prosocial behavior in KSR-PMI UKM students at UIN Raden Intan Lampung. This study uses quantitative methods with the population in this study, namely students who take part in the KSR PMI UKM at UIN Raden Intan Lampung. The sampling technique used in this study was the total sampling technique. In this study the subjects involved amounted to 60 people. The data collection technique in this study used three scales, namely, Prosocial Behavior Scale (α = 0.922), Affiliation Needs Scale (α = 0.854), Bystander Effect Scale (α = 0.908). The analysis technique in this study uses multiple regression analysis techniques with the help of JASP software version 0.16.2.0 for windows. The results showed that there is a significant positive relationship between the need for affiliation and bystander effect with prosocial behavior in students of UKM KSR-PMI UIN Raden Intan Lampung with a correlation coefficient value of R = 0.622 and a value of F = 17.942 with a significant level of p < 0.001. both independent variables also make an effective contribution of 38.6% to prosocial behavior, while the remaining 61.4% is influenced by other factors. In addition, affiliation needs have a positive relationship with prosocial behavior with a correlation coefficient of R = 0.539 and an effective contribution of 20.5%, and the bystander effect with a correlation coefficient of R = 0.522 effective contribution of 18.1%.
