Abstract

ABSTRAK Berdasarkan masalah dilapangan, Peran aktif mahasiswa masih kurang, ditunjukkan dengan sedikitnya mahasiswa yang aktif dalam bertanya dan berpendapat. Hal tersebut menunjukkan bahwa mahasiswa cenderung berfokus pada dosen tanpa menganalisis, mengkritik, mengevaluasi apa yang disampaikan oleh dosen. Maka tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui apakah ada efektivitas dari model pembelajaran probelem based learning untuk meningkatkan critical thinking pada mahasiswa pendidikan agama islam di UIN Raden Intan Lampung. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian kuantitatif dengan menggnakan metode Quasy Eksperimental Design dengan jenis Posttest Only Control Design. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh mahasiswa pendidikan agama islam semester 6 di UIN Raden Intan Lampung. Sampel terdiri dari 2 kelas yaitu kelas eksperiment (I) dan kelas kontrol (J). Berdasarkan hasil penelitian diketahui Uji-t Independent kemampuan critical thinking menunjukan bahwa sig. (2-tailed) sebesar 0,00 < 0,05 berarti ditolak dan diterima. Berdasarkan analisis dari ketercapaian indikator kemampuan critical thinking kelas eksperimen diperoleh hasil rata-rata yang lebih tinggi yaitu 67,45% dari pada hasil rata-rata ketercapaian indikator critical thinking kelas kontrol yaitu 40,00%. Berdasarkan analisis data diperoleh kesimpulan bahwa model problrm based learning dapat efektiv critical thinking mahasiswa di UIN Raden Intan Lampung. Kata Kunci: Critical Thinking, Problem Based Learning ii ABSTRAK Based on the problems in the field, the active role of students is still lacking, indicated by the small number of students who are active in asking questions and giving opinions. This shows that students tend to focus on lecturers without analyzing, criticizing, evaluating what is conveyed by the lecturer. So the purpose of this study is to determine whether there is an influence of the problem based learning model to improve critical thinking in Islamic religious education students at UIN Raden Intan Lampung. This type of research is quantitative research using the Quasy Experimental Design method with the Posttest Only Control Design type. The population in this study were all 6th semester Islamic religious education students at UIN Raden Intan Lampung. The sample consisted of 2 classes, namely the experimental class (I) and the control class (J). Based on the results of the study, it is known that the Independent t-test of critical thinking ability shows that sig. (2-tailed) of 0.00 <0.05 means is rejected and is accepted. Based on the analysis of the achievement of critical thinking ability indicators in the experimental class, the average result was higher, namely 67.45%, than the average result of the achievement of critical thinking indicators in the control class, namely 40.00%. Based on the data analysis, it was concluded that the problem-based learning model can influence students' critical thinking at UIN Raden Intan Lampung.
