Abstract

ABSTRAK Pulau Sebesi, yang terletak di perairan Teluk Lampung dan secara administratif masuk wilayah Kabupaten Lampung Selatan, memiliki potensi habitat burung yang beragam seperti hutan tepi pantai dan perkebunan. Namun, data ekologis mengenai kelimpahan atau keanekaragaman spesies burung di pulau ini masih minim. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi spesies burung yang ada di Pulau Sebesi dan untuk mengetahui indeks keanekaragaman spesies burung di wilayah tersebut. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode titik hitung (point count) berjumlah 5 titik. Pengamatan dilakukan pada pagi hari (06.00-09.00 WIB) dan sore hari (15.00 18.00 WIB). Dari hasil penelitian tentang keanekaragaman spesies burung di Pulau Sebesi, disimpulkan bahwa spesies burung yang ditemukan terdiri 16 famili dari 19 spesies. Berdasarkan perhitungan indeks keanekaragaman, diketahui indeks keanekaragaman burung di Pulau Sebesi tergolong sedang dengan nilai (H’) 2,47. Kata Kunci: Indeks Keanekaragaman, Keanekaragaman, Lampung Selatan, Pulau Sebesi, Spesies Burung, Titik Hitung. ii ABSTRACT Pulau Sebesi, located in the waters of Lampung Bay and administratively part of South Lampung Regency, has diverse bird habitat potential such as coastal forests and plantations. However, ecological data regarding the abundance or diversity of bird species on this island is still minimal. This study aims to identify existing bird species on Sebesi Island and to determine the bird species diversity index in the area. The research method used was the point count method with 5 points. Observations were conducted in the morning (06.00-09.00 WIB) and in the afternoon (15.00-18.00 WIB). From the results of the research on bird species diversity on Sebesi Island, it was concluded that the bird species found consisted of 16 families from 19 species. Based on the calculation of the diversity index, the bird diversity index on Sebesi Island is classified as moderate with a value (H') of 2.47.
