Abstract

ABSTRAK Berdasarkan hasil pra penelitian di SMP N 3 Bandar Lampung diperoleh hasil yang menunjukan bahwa kemampuan argumentasi dan self confidence peserta didik masih tergolong rendah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh Model Argument Driven Inquiry (ADI) Berbantu Mind Mapping Terhadap Self Confidence Dan Kemampuan Argumentasi Peserta Didik Kelas VII Pada Materi IPA Di SMP N 3 Bandar Lampung Pada Materi Ekologi Dan Keanekaragaman Hayati. Metode penelitian yang digunakan yaitu Quasi eksperimen desain penelitian pretest-postest control group design. Populasi penelitian ini yaitu seluruh peserta didik kelas VII, sampel penelitian menggunakan teknik cluster random sampling dan didapatkan kelas VII.5 sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas VII.6 sebagai kelas kontrol dengan jumlah masing kelas 32 peserta didik dengan total 64 sampel. Instrumen penelitian berupa tes essay/uraian kemampuan argumentasi dan angket pernyataan self confidence yang telah dilakukan uji coba empiris yaitu uji validitas, reliabilitas, daya pembeda dan tingkat kesukaran sehingga instrumen penelitian dikatakan layak untuk digunakan. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan yaitu uji hipotesis (uji independent sampel T-tes) yang sebelumnya dilakukan uji prasyarat meliputi uji normalitas dan uji homogenitas. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa nilai signifikansi sebesar 0,000 < 0,05, dengan ketentuan diterimanya dan ditolak. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan penggunaan Model Pembelajaran Argument Driven Inquiry (ADI) Berbantu Mind Mapping Terhadap Self Confidence Dan Kemampuan Argumentasi Peserta Didik KELAS VII Pada Materi IPA Di SMP N 3 Bandar Lampung Pada Materi Ekologi Dan Keanekaragaman Hayati. Kata kunci : Kemampuan argumentasi, Peta Pikiran, Model Argument Driven Inquiry (ADI), Kepercayaan Diri ii ABSTRACT Based on the results of pre-research at SMP N 3 Bandar Lampung, the results show that the argumentation skills and self confidence of students are still relatively low. This study aims to determine the effect of the Argument Driven Inquiry (ADI) Model aided by Mind Mapping on Self Confidence and Argumentation Ability of Students in Class VII on Science Material at SMP N 3 Bandar Lampung on Ecology and Biodiversity Material. The research method used was Quasi experiment research design pretest-postest control group design. The population of this study were all seventh grade students, the research sample used cluster random sampling technique and obtained class VII.5 as the experimental class and class VII.6 as the control class with a total of 32 students each class with a total of 64 samples. The research instrument in the form of an essay test / analysis of argumentation skills and a self confidence statement questionnaire that has been carried out empirical trials, namely validity, reliability, distinguishing power and difficulty level so that the research instrument is said to be suitable for use. The data analysis technique used is hypothesis testing (independent sample T-tests) which previously conducted prerequisite tests including normality tests and homogeneity tests. The results showed that the significance value was 0.000 <0.05, provided that was accepted and was rejected. So it can be concluded that there is a significant effect of using the Argument Driven Inquiry (ADI) Learning Model aided by Mind Mapping on Self Confidence and Argumentation Ability of Students in Class VII on Science Material at SMP N 3 Bandar Lampung on Ecology and Biodiversity Material.
