Abstract
ABSTRAK Perkembangan industri perbankan di Indonesia terus meningkat, namun pangsa pasar bank syariah masih tertinggal jauh dibanding bank konvensional. Berdasaran data OJK tahun 2023, market share bank syariah hanya 7,44%, meskipun mayoritas penduduk Indonesia beragama islam. Kata Kunci: Literasi Keuangan Syariah, Word Of Mouth, Minat Menabung, Bank Syariah, Mahasiswa. ABSTRACT The banking industry in Indonesia continues to grow, but the market share of Islamic banks still lags far behind conventional banks. According to OJK data from 2023, the market share of Islamic banks is only 7.44%, even though the majority of Indonesia's population is Muslim. One of the causes is the low level of Islamic financial literacy, as indicated by the Islamic financial literacy index of 39.11% in 2024, far below the conventional literacy rate of 65.08%. On the other hand, the focus on word-of-mouth or the influence of communication from person to person also plays a role in shaping their preferences when choosing financial institutions. This study uses a quantitative research method. The research population consists of 5,192 students from the 2021 cohort at UIN Raden Intan Lampung. The sample was determined using the slovin formula with a margin of error of 10%, resulting in 98 respondents. The data analysis tool used in this study is SPSS version 27. The results of the study indicate that Islamic financial literacy has a positive and significant effect on interest in saving at Islamic banks. The higher the level of Islamic financial literacy, the greater the students' interest in saving at islamic banks. Additionally, word of mouth has also been proven to have a positive and significant effect on interest in saving, where information conveyed through word of mouth plays a crucial role in shaping students' decisions. Simultaneously, Islamic financial literacy and word of mouth significantly influence the interest in saving, indicating that both variables complement each other in influencing the decisions of UIN Raden Intan Lampung students to save in Islamic banks. Keywords: Islamic Financial Literacy, Word Of Mouth, Interest In Saving, Islamic Banks, Students.
