Abstract

Kata kunci: Cabai, Eco- enzyme, POC, Pertumbuhan. iii ABSTRACT COMPARISON OF THE GROWTH OF CHILI SEEDLINGS (Capsicum annum L.) USING ECO-ENZYME FROM FRUIT PEELS AND POC By: ARIE NURHIDAYANTO Chili is a plant whose fruit is used as a spice for cooking and also as a medicinal ingredient that is rich in nutritional content. Chili plants are plants that can grow from highlands to lowlands. When planting chili, farmers should pay attention to the nutrients that will be absorbed from the primary vegetative growth of chili. With good primary vegetative growth, it will produce good quality chili seeds. The initial nutrients when seeding can be obtained from Eco-enzyme and POC (liquid organic fertilizer). This study focuses on seeing how far the growth of chili seedlings is compared using Eco-enzyme and POC. This type of research with the quantitative approach used is included in the type of comparative research. Comparative research is comparing between two or more variables in the object of the research. The design used was a complete randomized design (RAL) with 5 treatments and 4 repetitions so that there were 20 experimental units. The results of the analysis of the content contained in eco enzymes consist of macronutrients (N, P, K, and Ca) and micronutrients (Fe, Mn, Zn, and B). The optimal dose of eco-enzyme in the growth of chili seedlings is found in P3 with a dose of 60 ml. The results of the P3 study from the parameters measured: the average height of chili seedlings was 15.53 cm, the average number of leaves was 7 pieces, the average leaf area was 2.39 cm2, the average root length was 12.39 cm, the average wet weight was 0.80 gr, and the average dry weight was 0.06 gr. Keywords: Chili, Eco-enzyme, POC, Growth.
