Abstract
Abstract The purpose of this study is to understand the influence of economic political competition on the allocation of the government's health budget in Indonesia and the relationship between the influence of economic-political competition on the health budget with the Islamic Economic Perspective. The Indonesian Democracy Index (IDI), Population (P), and poverty rate are the variables used. Panel data regression analysis with the Random Effect (REM) model is the research method. The findings show that increasingly tight political competition negatively affects the allocation of the health budget, with a coefficient value of 2.189453 on the IDI variable. Meanwhile, the P variable shows positive results with a coefficient of -0.101408. The poverty rate also shows a positive influence on the health budget with a coefficient of 10.28083. The Chow test shows a probability value of 0.0000, which indicates that the suitability of the model is Fixed Effect. The results of the Hausman test show a probability value of 0.3211, which supports the selection of the Random Effect model. In addition, the value of Breusch Pagan 142.3488 is shown in the Lagrange Multiplier (LM) test, with a probability of 0.000, which also indicates that the appropriate model is Random Effect. The importance of fairer policies in health budget allocation, by paying more attention to poor areas and reducing the impact of imperfect political competition is shown through research implications. Keywords: Health Budget, Political Economy, Regional Economic Competition.
