Abstract

ABSTRAK Kemampuan komunikasi adalah kemampuan untuk menyampaikan dan menerima pesan secara efektif, kemampuan ini sangat penting dalam kehidupan sehari-hari baik dalam lingkungan social dan pendidikan, Masalah dalam penelitian ini di latar belakangi oleh rendahnya kemampuan peserta didik dalam berkomunikasi, yang diantaranya dapat dilihat dari kurang mampunya peserta didik untuk bertanya tentang materi pelajaran serta menyampaikan pendapatnya. Maka dari itu peneliti menyimpulkan bahwa dalam pembelajaran dikelas perlunya menggunakan strategi pembelajaran yang dapat membuat siswa mampu untuk berkomunikasi dan berinteraksi dengan baik. Adapun tujuan pada penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui adanya pengaruh strategi debat aktif untuk meningkatkan pemahaman kemampuan komunikasi peserta didik. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif eksperimen dan jenis eksperimennya yaitu Quasi Eksperiment. Jenis penelitian ini dengan cara yang digunakan menggunakan postest di kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di SDN 02 Sukadana Udik, dengan teknik pengumpulan data berupa soal kuesioner. Populasi penelitian adalah seluruh peserta didik di kelas V SDN 02 Sukadana Udik, teknik pengambilan sampel yaitu dengan teknik Random Sampling, sampel pada penelitian ini terdiri dari dua kelompok kelas diantaranya kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol. Kelas eksperimen tersebut adalah kelas VA berjumlah 30 peserta didik dan untuk kelas kontrol adalah kelas VB berjumlah 30 peserta didik. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan nilai signifikan (2-tailed) 0,001 yang artinya 0,001 < 0,05 sehingga H0 ditolak H1 diterima maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa, terdapat pengaruh strategi pembelajaran debat aktif terhadap pemhaman kemampuan komunikasi pserta didik. Kemampuan komunikasi peserta didik menggunakan pendekatan strategi pembelajaran iii debat aktif lebih baik, dibandingkan kemampuan komunikasi peserta didik menggunakan Model Pembelajaran Quis team. Kata Kunci : Strategi Debat Aktif, Pemahaman Kemampuan komunikasi iv v ABSTRACT Communication skills are the ability to convey and receive messages effectively, this ability is very important in everyday life both in social and educational environments. The problem in this study is based on the low ability of students to communicate, which can be seen from the lack of students' ability to ask questions about the subject matter and express their opinions. Therefore, the researcher concluded that in classroom learning, it is necessary to use learning strategies that can make students able to communicate and interact well. The purpose of this study was to determine the influence of active debate strategies to improve students' understanding of communication skills. This research is a quantitative experimental research and the type of experiment is Quasi Experiment. This type of research is done by using posttest in the experimental class and control class. This research was conducted at SDN 02 Sukadana Udik, with data collection techniques in the form of questionnaires. The population of the study was all students in class V of SDN 02 Sukadana Udik, the sampling technique was the Random Sampling technique, the sample in this study consisted of two class groups including the experimental class and the control class. The experimental class is class VA with 30 students and the control class is class VB with 30 students. The results of this study show a significant value (2-tailed) of 0.001 which means 0.001 <0.05 so that H0 is rejected H1 is accepted, it can be concluded that there is an influence of active debate learning strategies on students' understanding of communication skills. The communication skills of students using the active debate learning strategy approach are better than the communication skills of students using the Quis team approach.
