Abstract

ABSTRAK Industri manufaktur adalah Industri yang mengolah material atau bahan baku menjadi produk jadi atau produk setengah jadi dengan mesin produksi, dan memproduksi dalam skala besar. Investasi asing langsung merupakan bagian yang tidak terpisahkan dalam sektor industri manufaktur. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana dampak investasi asing langsung, jumlah tenaga kerja dan inflasi terhadap industri manufaktur di beberapa negara ASEAN pada tahun 2016-2021. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian kuantitatif dengan data panel adalah kombinasi dari data time series dan cross-section. Kriteria pemilihan lima negara dengan pendapatan perkapita tertinggi pada tahun 2021. Data yang digunakan adalah data sekunder yang diperoleh dari World Bank dan Asean Statistic Year Book. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ditemukan bahwa foregh direct investment berpengaruh negatif tidak signifikan terhadap industri manufaktur, jumlah tenaga kerja berpengaruh positif signifikan sedangkan inflasi berpengaruh positif tidak signifikan terhadap industri manufaktur di beberapa negara ASEAN. Kata Kunci: Foreigh Direct Invesment, Jumlah Tenaga Kerja, Inflasi, Industri Manufaktur. ABSTRACT The manufacturing industry is an industry that processes materials or raw materials into finished products or semi-finished products with production machines, and produces on a large scale. Foreign direct investment is an inseparable part of the manufacturing industry sector. This study aims to determine the impact of foreign direct investment, the number of workers and inflation on the manufacturing industry in several ASEAN countries in 2016-2021. The type of research used is quantitative research with panel data is a combination of time series and cross-section data. The criteria for selecting the five countries with the highest per capita income in 2021. The data used is secondary data obtained from the World Bank and the ASEAN Statistic Year Book. Based on the results of the study, it was found that foreign direct investment had a negative but insignificant effect on the manufacturing industry, the number of workers had a positive and significant effect, while inflation had a positive but insignificant effect on the manufacturing industry in several ASEAN countries.
