Abstract

ABSTRAK Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi oleh hasil belajar peserta didik pada pembelajaran Pendidikan Agama Islam dengan mengunakan Metode Pembelajaran Discovery Learning Terhadap Hasil Belajar Pendidikan Agama Islam pada peserta didik Kelas VIII SMP Negeri 3 Kotabumi Lampung Utara yang mana setiap pendidik harus memberikan pembelajaran terbaik agar peserta didik mampu memahami disetiap pembelajaran yang dilakukan didalam kegiatan belajar mengajar. Penelitan ini dilakukan bedasarkan dengan kenyataan dilapangan salah satu penyebab dari rendahnya hasil belajar peserta didik yaitu karena pada pelaksanaan pembelajaran terdapat banyak peserta didik yang kurang aktif, Selain itu pendidik masih sering menjelaskan materi pembelajaran yang akan disampaikan dengan metode ceramah, tanya jawab, dan bermain peran. Serta teknik pembelajaran yang kurang efektif dalam membantu peserta didik ketika proses pembelajaran berlangsung, sehingga menyebabkan rendahnya hasil belajar. Berdasarkan masalah yang telah dikemukakan di atas maka peneliti melakukan pelaksanaan pembelajaran Pendidikan Agama Islam dengan menggunakan Metode Discovery Learning, yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh Metode Discovery Learning terhadap hasil belajar Pendidikan Agama Islam VIII SMP Negeri 3 Kotabumi.. Jenis Penelitian ini adalah penelitian kuantitatif dengan menggunakan pendekatan quasi eksperimen, data bersifat statistik, desain yang digunakan adalah nonequivalent control group design. Pengambilan sampel ini menggunakan teknik Cluster Sampling kelas VIII C sebagai kelas eksperimen dengan jumlah 30 peserta didik dan kelas VIII A sebagai kelas kontrol dengan jumlah 30 peserta didik. Instrumen dalam penelitian ini menggunakan tes berupa pilihan ganda untuk aspek hasil belajar kognitif pada materi mengutamakan Kejujuran dan Menegakkan Keadilan. Variabel independen yaitu Metode Discovery Learning dan variabel dependen hasil belajar. Teknik pengumpulan data pada penelitian ini yaitu menggunakan tes hasil belajar. Dan teknik analisis data menggunakan uji hipotesis t-test. Berdasarkan analisis deskriptif pada hasil belajar peserta didik di kelas eksperimen yaitu kelas VIII C dengan nilai pretest rata-rata 63.81 dan posttest dengan nilai rata-rata 84.27 sehingga terdapat perbedaan sebesar 20.46. Sedangkan kelas kontrol yaitu kelas VIII A didapat nilai pretest dengan rata-rata 63.19 dan posttest dengan nilai rata-rata 77.62 sehingga terdapat perbedaan 14.43. Kemudian dilakukan uji normalitas dan uji homogenitas didapat bahwa sampel berasal dari populasi yang berdistribusi normal dan sama, kemudian dilakukan uji hipotesis dan diperoleh pengaruh Efektivitas Metode Pembelajaran Discovery Learning Terhadap Hasil Belajar Pendidikan Agama Islam kelas VIII SMP Negeri 3 Kotabumi Kata kunci: Metode Discovery, Hasil Belajar iii ABSTRACT This research is motivated by the learning outcomes of students in Islamic Religious Education learning using the Discovery Learning Method on Islamic Religious Education Learning Outcomes in Class VIII students of SMP Negeri 3 Kotabumi, North Lampung, where every educator must provide the best learning so that students are able to understand every learning carried out in teaching and learning activities. This research was conducted based on the reality in the field, one of the causes of low student learning outcomes is because in the implementation of learning there are many students who are less active, in addition, educators still often explain the learning material that will be delivered using lecture methods, questions and answers, and role playing. As well as learning techniques that are less effective in helping students when the learning process takes place, resulting in low learning outcomes. Based on the problems that have been stated above, the researcher carried out Islamic Religious Education learning using the Discovery Learning Method, which aims to determine the effect of the Discovery Learning Method on the learning outcomes of Islamic Religious Education VIII SMP Negeri 3 Kotabumi. This type of research is quantitative research using a quasi-experimental approach, statistical data, the design used is nonequivalent control group design. This sampling used the Cluster Sampling technique for class VIII C as an experimental class with 30 students and class VIII A as a control class with 30 students. The instrument in this study used a multiple-choice test for the cognitive learning outcome aspect on the material prioritizing Honesty and Upholding Justice. The independent variable is the Discovery Learning Method and the dependent variable is learning outcomes. The data collection technique in this study used a learning outcome test. And the data analysis technique used the t-test hypothesis test. Based on the descriptive analysis of the learning outcomes of students in the experimental class, namely class VIII C with an average pretest score of 63.81 and a posttest with an average score of 84.27 so that there was a difference of 20.46. While the control class, namely class VIII A, obtained a pretest score with an average of 63.19 and a posttest with an average score of 77.62 so that there was a difference of 14.43. Then the normality test and homogeneity test were carried out and it was found that the sample came from a population that was normally distributed and the same, then the hypothesis test was carried out and obtained is an influence of the Effectiveness of the Discovery Learning Method on the Learning Outcomes of Islamic Religious Education in class VIII of SMP Negeri 3 Kotabumi.
