Abstract

Abstract This study aims to explore the mediating effect of career adaptability on future time perspective with employability for students who are in the final period of their studies. Employability refers to an individual’s readiness for work, encompassing their ability to secure employment. Future time perspective is the view of the future that exists in each individual. Career adaptability is an individual's readiness to face challenges or tasks that will come in a work situation, career adaptability as a mediator variable, namely as an intermediary between future time perspective and employability. This type of research is quantitative using measuring instruments, namely employability scales, future time perspective, and career adaptability. The participants in this study were students who were in the final period of their studies at universities in various universities in Indonesia, totaling 150 people. The data was analyzed using the hypothesis analysis test method of regression using PROCESS SPSS. From the results of this study, it shows that the direct effect of future time perspective on employability is not significant and career adaptability is proven to be able to mediate the relationship between future time perspective and employability. The higher the future time perspective that final year students have, the higher their career adaptability will be and this will affect the employability of final year students after graduation. ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menggali efek mediasi career adaptability terhadap future time perspective dengan employability bagi mahasiswa yang berada di akhir masa perkuliahan. Employability adalah kesiapan kerja sebagai sebuah kemampuan individu dalam mendapatkan pekerjaan. Future time perspective merupakan pandangan masa depan yang ada pada tiap individu. Career adaptability adalah kesiapan individu dalam menghadapi tantangan atau tugas yang akan datang dalam situasi kerja, career adaptability sebagai variabel mediator yakni sebagai perantara antara future time perspective dan employability. Jenis Penelitian kuantitatif dengan menggunakan alat ukur skala employability, future time perspevtive, dan career adaptability. Partisipan pada penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa yang berada di akhir masa perkuliahan pada perguruan tinggi di berbagai universitas yang ada di Indonesia berjumlah 150 orang. Data dianalisis dengan menggunakan metode uji analisis hipotesis regresi menggunakan PROCESS SPSS. Dari hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa pengaruh langsung future time perspective terhadap employability tidak signifikan serta career adaptability terbukti mampu memediasi hubungan future time perspective dan employability. Semakin tinggi future time perspective yang dimiliki oleh mahasiswa tingkat akhir maka akan semakin tinggi pula career adaptability-nya dan hal ini akan mempengaruhi kesiapan kerja mahasiswa tingkat akhir setelah kelulusan.
