Abstract

ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis efektivitas komunikasi dosen pembimbing akademik dalam meningkatkan prestasi akademik mahasiswa, khususnya pada tahap penyelesaian skripsi. Komunikasi antara dosen pembimbing dan mahasiswa merupakan salah satu faktor penting yang memengaruhi keberhasilan mahasiswa dalam menyelesaikan skripsi tepat waktu dengan hasil yang memuaskan. Jenis penelitian ini menggunakan penelitian lapangan (field research) dan sifat penelitian ini adalah deskriptif. Adapun yang menjadi sumber data primer dalam penelitian ini adalah Dosen Pembimbing Akademik Program Studi Komunikasi dan Penyiaran Islam UIN Raden Intan Lampung dan Mahasiswa program studi komunikasi dan penyiaran islam angkatan 2020 sebanyak 6 mahasiswa yang sedang melakukan proses pengerjaan skripsi yang diambil berdasakan teknik Purposive sampling. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah kualitatif. Dalam menganalisa data, penulis menggunakan analisa kualitatif. Metode pengumpulan data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa efektivitas komunikasi dipengaruhi oleh kejelasan penyampaian arahan, keterbukaan dosen terhadap pertanyaan dan masukan mahasiswa, serta sikap empati dalam membangun hubungan bimbingan yang positif. Selain itu, komunikasi yang intensif dan terstruktur terbukti membantu mahasiswa dalam memahami tuntutan akademik dan meningkatkan motivasi mereka untuk menyelesaikan skripsi tepat waktu. Namun, ditemukan juga hambatan, seperti keterbatasan waktu dosen dan perbedaan gaya komunikasi yang kadang memicu miskomunikasi. Kata Kunci : Efektivitas Akademik, Akademik Komunikasi, Prestasi Dosen Pembimbing Mahasiswa, Bimbingan ABSTRACT This research aims to analyze the effectiveness of academic supervisors' communication in improving student academic achievement, especially at the thesis completion stage. Communication between supervisors and students is an important factor that influences students' success in completing their thesis on time with satisfactory results. This type of research uses field research and the nature of this research is descriptive. The primary data sources in this research are the Head of the Islamic Communication and Broadcasting Study Program at UIN Raden Intan Lampung, the Secretary of the Islamic Communication and Broadcasting Study Program at UIN Raden Intan Lampung and the 2020 class of Islamic communication and broadcasting study program students, 6 students who are currently carrying out the process. The thesis work was taken based on purposive sampling technique. The method used in this research is qualitative. In analyzing the data, the author uses qualitative analysis. The data collection methods used in this research are interviews, observation and documentation. The research results show that the effectiveness of communication is influenced by the clarity of delivery of directions, the lecturer's openness to questions and student input, as well as an empathetic attitude in building positive guidance relationships. Apart from that, intensive and structured communication has been proven to help students understand academic demands and increase their motivation to complete their thesis on time. However, obstacles were also found, such as limited lecturer time and differences in communication styles which sometimes triggered miscommunication.
