Abstract

ABSTRAK Abad 21 merupakan abad pengetahuan, abad di mana globalisasi dan teknologi informasi, revolusi industri berkembang pesat. Karakteristik abad 21 ditandai dengan semakin berkembangnya dunia ilmu pengetahuan. Seiring dengan perkembangan abad 21 peserta didik dituntut untuk memiliki kemampuan berpikir tingkat tinggi, literasi digital, kemampuan berkomunikasi, bertanggung jawab secara pribadi dan juga lingkungan sosial. Oleh karena itu penelitian ini bertujaun untuk mengetahui apakah kemampuan Higher Order Thingking Skill (HOTS) pada pembelajaran materi keanekaragaman hayati pada siswa di SMA 1 Mesuji sudah sesuai atau belum. Jenis penelitian yang dilakukan ini yaitu penelitian kualitatif dengan pengumpulan data menggunakan wawancara, observasi, soal dan dokumentasi untuk mendapatkan informasi dengan responden siswa kelas 10 di SMA 1 Mesuji. Hasil yang didapatkan dari penelitian ini yaitu Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dan pembahasan di atas dapat ditarik kesimpulan bahwa kemampuan HOTS peserta didik di SMA 1 Mesuji untuk indiaktor menganalisis sebesar 74%, Indikator mengevaluasi sebesar 69% dan indikator mencipta sebesar 58% dengan persentase rata-rata sebesar 67% dengan kategori sedang. Kata Kunci: Higher Order Thinking Skill, keanekaragaman hayati iii ABSTRACT The 21st century is the century of knowledge, a century in which globalization and information technology, the industrial revolution are developing rapidly. The characteristics of the 21st century are marked by the increasing development of the world of science. Along with the development of the 21st century, students are required to have high-level thinking skills, digital literacy, communication skills, personal responsibility and also the social environment. Therefore, this study aims to find out whether the ability of Higher Order Thingking Skill (HOTS) in learning biodiversity material in students at SMA 1 Mesuji is appropriate or not. The type of research carried out is qualitative research with data collection using interviews, observations, questions and documentation to obtain information with respondents of grade 10 students at SMA 1 Mesuji. The results obtained from this study are Based on the results of the research and discussion above, it can be concluded that the HOTS ability of students at SMA 1 Mesuji for indicators to analyze is 74%, the evaluation indicator is 69% and the creating indicator is 58% with an average percentage of 67% with the medium category.
