Abstract

ABSTRAK penelitian ini untuk mengetahui penerapan metode mind mapping untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar peserta didik pada pembelajaran IPS kelas IV di SD 5 Jatimulyo yang berjumlah 26 siswa. Jenis penelitian yang dilakukan adalah penelitian tindakan kelas dan populasi pada penelitian ini yaitu seluruh siswa kelas IV sebagai kelas eksperimen Hasil belajar siswa belum resional ideal. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan dua siklus, yaitu siklus I dan siklus II dengan tahap perencanaan, pelaksanaan, pengamatan, dan refleksi. Pada siklus I menunjukkan hasil belajar siswa yang memperoleh nilai 75 keatas sebanyak 11 siswa (35 %) dengan kategori tuntas dan siswa yang memperoleh nilai dibawah 70 sebanyak 13 siswa atau (65%) dengan kategori tidak tuntas. Pada siklus II menunjukkan bahwa hasil belajar siswa yang memperoleh nilai 75 keatas sebanyak 21 siswa atau (95%) dengan kategori tuntas dan siswa yang memperoleh nilai dibawah 75 sebanyak 3 orang siswa atau (5%) dengan kategori tidak tuntas. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa peningkatan yang singnifikan terhadap hasil belajar siswa setelah penerapan metode pembelajaran mind mapping. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dan melalui uji hipotesis menggunakan SPSS menunjukkan bahwa penerapan metode mind mapping berpengaruh terhadap hasil belajar peserta didik kelas IV di SD 5 Jatimulyo Kata Kunci: Metode Mind Mapping, Hasil Belajar, IPS. iii ABSTRACT This study aims to determine the application of the mind mapping method to improve student learning outcomes in social studies learning in grade IV at SD 5 Jatimulyo, totaling 26 students. The type of research conducted is classroom action research and the population in this study is all grade IV students as an experimental class. Student learning outcomes are not yet ideal rational. This study was conducted in two cycles, namely cycle I and cycle II with the stages of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. In cycle I, the learning outcomes of students who obtained a score of 75 and above were 11 students (35%) with the complete category and students who obtained a score below 70 were 13 students or (65%) with the incomplete category. In cycle II, it showed that the learning outcomes of students who obtained a score of 75 and above were 21 students or (95%) with the complete category and students who obtained a score below 75 were 3 students or (5%) with the incomplete category. This shows that there is a significant increase in student learning outcomes after the application of the mind mapping learning method. Based on the results of the study and through hypothesis testing using SPSS, it shows that the application of the mind mapping method has an effect on the learning outcomes of grade IV students at SD 5 Jatimulyo Keywords: Mind Mapping Method, Learning Outcomes, Social Studies.
