Abstract

ABSTRAK Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi oleh permasalahan yang ditemukan di SDN 1 Pinang Jaya Kemiling Bandar Lampung yaitu rendahnya kemampuan membaca pemahaman peserta didik dalam pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia. Permasalahan tersebut peneliti ketahui berdasarkan hasil observasi dan wawancara yang peneliti lakukan di lapangan. Pada saat proses pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia, guru masih menggunakan papan tulis dan bahan bacaan yang terdapat pada buku Bahasa Indonesia. Salah satu penyebab rendahnya kemampuan membaca pemahaman peserta didik yaitu belum optimalnya variasi dan inovasi pendidik dalam penggunaan model pembelajaran, guru hanya menggunakan model problem based learning yang tercantum di dalam modul ajar. Dalam hal ini peneliti megimplentasikan desain model Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition (CIRC). Rumusan masalah dalam penelitian ini yaitu:‖Apakah terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan dari model pembelajaran Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition (CIRC) terhadap kemampuan membaca pemahaman peserta didik kelas V SD Negeri 1 Pinang Jaya Kemiling Bandar Lampung?‖ tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition (CIRC) terhadap kemampuan membaca pemahaman peserta didik kelas V SD Negeri 1 Pinang Jaya Kemiling Bandar Lampung. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif eksperimen dan bentuk penelitiannya yaitu quasi experimental design. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan SDN 1 Pinang Jaya Kemiling Bandar Lampung dengan teknik pengambilan sampel yaitu dengan teknik purposive sampling. Pengambilan sampel pada penelitian ini terdiri dari dua kelompok kelas diantaranya kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol. Dimana kelas eksperimen tersebut adalah kelas VC dan untuk kelas kontrol adalah kelas VA. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data, pengaruh kemampuan membaca pemahaman peserta didik dapat dilihat Instrumen pada penelitian ini menggunakan soal dengan jumlah 7 soal uraian yang telah diuji melalui uji validitas dan uji reliabilitas, sehingga layak digunakan sebagai alat ukur penelitian. Teknik analisis data pada penelitian ini menggunakan program SPSS Statistics 23. Dan menggunakan Uji-t independent. Hasil uji hipotesis menunjukan bahwa model pembelajaran Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition (CIRC) dalam perhitungan Uji-t independent di dapatkan nilai sig (2- tailed) sebesar 0.000 yang artinya nilai sig (2-tailed) < 0.05 sehingga H0 ditolak dan H1 diterima, Penelitian ini memperoleh hasil bahwa terdapat pengaruh model pembelajaran Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition (CIRC) terhadap kemampuan membaca pemahaman peserta didik pada mata pelajaran Bahasa Indonesia Kelas V di SDN 1 Pinang Jaya Kemiling Bandar Lampung. Kata Kunci: Model Pembelajaran Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition (CIRC), Kemampuan Membaca Pemahaman ii ABSTRAK This research is motivated by the problems found at SDN 1 Pinang Jaya Kemiling Bandar Lampung, namely the low reading comprehension ability of students in learning Indonesian. The researcher found out about this problem based on the results of observations and interviews conducted by the researcher in the field. During the Indonesian language learning process, teachers still use the blackboard and reading materials contained in Indonesian language books. One of the causes of the low reading comprehension ability of students is the less than optimal variation and innovation of educators in the use of learning models, teachers only use the problem-based learning model listed in the teaching module. In this case, the researcher implemented the Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition (CIRC) model design. The formulation of the problem in this study is: "Is there a significant influence of the Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition (CIRC) learning model on the reading comprehension ability of class V students of SD Negeri 1 Pinang Jaya Kemiling Bandar Lampung?" The purpose of this study is to determine the influence of the Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition (CIRC) learning model on the reading comprehension ability of class V students of SD Negeri 1 Pinang Jaya Kemiling Bandar Lampung. This research is a quantitative experimental research and the form of research is quasi experimental design. This research was conducted by SDN 1 Pinang Jaya Kemiling Bandar Lampung with a sampling technique, namely the purposive sampling technique. Sampling in this study consisted of two class groups including the experimental class and the control class. Where the experimental class is class VC and the control class is class VA. Based on the results of data analysis, the effect of students' reading comprehension skills can be seen The instrument in this study used questions with a total of 7 descriptive questions that had been tested through validity and reliability tests, so they were suitable for use as a research measuring tool. The data analysis technique in this study used the SPSS Statistics 23 program. And using the independent t-test. The results of the hypothesis test show that the Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition (CIRC) learning model in the independent t-test calculation obtained a sig value (2-tailed) of 0.000, which means the sig value (2-tailed) <0.05 so that H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted. This study obtained results that there is an influence of the Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition (CIRC) learning model on the reading comprehension skills of students in the Indonesian Language subject for Class V at SDN 1 Pinang Jaya Kemiling Bandar Lampung.
